Hi, i'm new to this program and i would like to know if, in the stockpile feature, it is possible to consider the items in the buy orders as "owned" or "stockpiled" (Reason: I use the feature to setup my buy order, and if a buy order isn't filled already i would thus oversupply)

OT: in the stockpile section the buy orders - sell orders - industry column all show a greyed out zero, but i have an actual buy order for the given item which is correctly imported in JeveAssets

Any help is appreciated, thanks

@Madfranco
Yes, It's possible to include buy orders:
1) Click on the [Stockpile] button on the stockpile you want to edit (in the table)
2) Select [Edit]
3) Click on [Include] and select your options

TIP: You can hover over each include item to get a description (The button text is a bit misleading).

Extra info:
Market orders and industry jobs are optional and disabled by default, that is why the columns text is gray. It will be black when it's enabled.

Winrar may have taken over the *.jar extension, re-installing the latest version of Java should fix that.

1) Download and install the latest version of Java: http://www.java.com/en/download/
2) Download jEveAssets
3) Unzip: jeveassets-2.7.3-rub1.0.4.zip
4) Double click on jeveassets.jar (or if you are on linux see the: readme)

If you still can not get it to work, reply here again with you progress. I'll do my best to get it working! =)

Like a lot of other programs, upon installation WinRAR asks you which extenstions to associate with it. If the user accepted that, WinRAR does as ordered.

That said, no need to reinstall Java. In WinRAR go to "Options" -> "Settings", tab "Integration" and deselect "JAR".

Fair point.
But, It's not exactly logical to have WinRar or another zip program open jar files.
Many files formats are can be unzipped (Ex.: ODF files).
That doesn't mean you want to unzip them, ever...

You really want jar files to be opened by a JRE (Java Runtime Environment)
Hence, no install option should overwrite the JRE associated with jar files IMHO.
The average user does not understand that "Select All", will take over jar files and make it very hard to run jar files.
But, of course I have no say in this, so sorry for my rant... Lol

@Maeltstome
Thank you for your kind words :)
Donations will never be accepted. Because, this is a free time project, I do for fun.
I do not want to mix my hobby with work and money.

Suggesting new features and report all the bugs you find is the best way to help jEveAssets.
Saying thank you, is also very much appreciated. It's great to know I made something that others find useful.

Hi,
Only downloaded this a couple of days ago.
I have no suggestions or negative feedback. Still finding out how things work (no idea on stockpile) but go to say Thank you for sharing this. It is such a useful program to have.

Thank you from the Kaway family :-)

Thank you for your kind words :)

The Stockpile Tool is very complicated. That is the price you pay for the high flexibility.
If you need help with anything, just ask here in this thread. I'll help the best I can...

I exported this to a spreadsheet to allow me to try and work out what assets i should realistically liquidate and what wasn't worth my time. One thing that I noticed would be usefull would be:

Add a new column for 'System' - i have some systems with 4/5 stations with assets. I'd like to see my assets by system amalgamated.

From a spreadsheet p.o.v I simply had to change the first " " (space) to be a delimiter and that indicated the system for my pivot table. Perhaps you could do something similar?

Thanks again - and i'll donate some isk since you insist on no £$

@Maeltstome
The system is already included in the location column...

However, I have a couple of suggestions:
1) Export from the Tree tool (Maybe, not the optimal solution, but, worth a try)
2) Sort the Asset Tool by location, before exporting (That should group each system together).
Export use the same sorting as the table

Once again, thank you for the kind words =)

I have used this program for a while, can't believe someone writes something for us ****** Mac users :)

Is there a way to get the time of an industry job? I have tried right clicking and pref etc, can't seem to find a way to enable the time stamp for industry jobs.

Thanks,

The short answer is:
No, only the date is shown.

It's not very hard to change, please, let me know why you need it and I'll see what I can do..

Well, when you are cycling BPO's over and over, time is critical....

Right now, I have approx 235 build jobs on and knowing when they come off and when i can put another set onto that BPO is handy information to have. For now, I use EvE HQ for that particular info, but use Jeve Assets for most everything else, just when it get down to the last day, I swap back to EvE HQ to know when to login and swap builds.

Upon installation, WinRAR presents you a dialogue with each f***ing file extension, and the user has to pick what he wants. Being disinformed/ignorant of something has never saved you from the consequences. If a user has no idea what he's doing, he probably should ask someone who does.

Just a small update:

I have been working on another project (not related to eve), for the last month or so.
That is why have had no time to work on jEveAssets (but, I will get back, I always get back...).

Now, to the good news, I build some tools for the other project:
-Auto program update
-Auto bug report
When they have been tested a bit more in the other project, I'll add them to jEveAssets, as well.
Hopefully, the auto bug reporting tool, will help make jEveAssets more stable (You never know how many bugs never gets reported).
And the auto program update tool, well, that is just a nice addition...

Also in the works for jEveAssets is "subpiles": Add stockpiles to stockpile (Still needs a bit more work, though)

That is all for now...
