So I have a Scorpion BPO
ME: 100
PE: 20
I also have perfect production and manufacturing skills and perfect standings.

Before the patch that added the horrible "extra minerals" I could easily build scorpions at a profit while buying minerals at market price. Afterwards, building them is a loss even if I get the minerals at %5 below.

It is the only BS I built, but no other ships in my inventory are having this issue.. Even if I mine for the minerals on this BPO, the math is saying that I would still make more money selling the minerals than building the ship. What am I missing on these BPO changes?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Markets change daily, one day I can build Siphons and make 6mil proift each, the next day 1mil each, the next day lose 2mil each and the next day back up to 6mil profit each.

Build something else until scorpions recover, don't think its a ship used very much, so may want to switch to a more active battleship.

Scorpion -8%
ferox -7%
cyclone -24%
procurer -20%
prophecy -4%
Badger -50% (Profit if reprocess)

still selling below mineral price, before can reprocess which ships that selling below mineral price and sell the minerals now some of the ships need to below 50% to make profit out of reprocess the ships.

Yeah, I realize markets fluctuate, but I have been watching this one since the patch and it just isn't recovering. At first I thought it was due to pre-patch stockpiles anticipating the change, but it has already been some time for that to pass, maybe not. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Thanks. Guess it will collect dust for a while.

Pre-patch stockpiles and a ship that doesn't die often. Cyclones are still selling under manufacturing cost.

This.

Take a look at Procurers for another ship selling below cost.

Scorpions just aren't that popular.

My friend just finished selling the 12,000 Procurers he built pre-patch. He bought 40 PLEX with some of the ISK.

This is just ONE producer.

The pre-patch stockpiles are large enough to last several years on ships that get used as little as scorps.

The Coreli Corporation is recruiting.

it should be noted the procurer is a somewhat extreme example. As it went from around 2-3 million, to 23 million. Low initial cost plus the high multiplier meant it was worth investing a lot, even with the potential of mineral price drops.
