Spent an hour troubleshooting this thing. Just wouldn't connect. Checked firewall, checked everything. Nada.

Finally tried something different. Right click- Ran EFT as "administrator."

Results: Connected and imported API just fine.

Just an FYI.

(not sure what the appropriate section for this is, but Im sure it will get moved.)

Use Pyfa.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

+1

Very, very similar to EFT, but also does some things (like character import) better.

Ive been using Pyfa for the past 2 weeks due to me being away from my PC. Im not sure if its just because Im so used to EFT, but Pyfa seems to have everything EFT does, but a little more complicated.

The fleet boost section for example:
In EFT you can just set a booster ship as fleet command or whatever and EFT just assumes that the links are going to be applied to the ship where as in Pyfa you have to set it to squad command or else nothing is applied.

I also find that searching for ships is pretty laggy considering I only have a couple setup's, and there is no way to order the modules by CPU/PG (clicking the column head does nothing other than highlight it).

Its great, but EFT is better IMO. Certainly nice to have some fitting tool on Mac though, I can forgive a few bugs here and there for providing the alternative.
