...well, that was my read on James in my Grading CSM 8 retrospective of the CSM 8 term. Here's my endorsement of him for CSM9, posted a few minutes ago. As I mention above, James will top my ballot again this year.

What have you done for us in the current CSM regarding this? I recall criticizing the latest minutes' section, "Xhagen threw out a question to the CSM regarding the differences between corporation mechanics and the social aspect of corporations. " ...did you take that opportunity to point out that corporate 'rebalancing' might be in order besides floating trial balloons on new content?

Thank you James for your efforts in the CSM8. I'm happy you and the chitsa had a shot at being in the CSM representing wspace. (Yes - i will horribly adopt Two Steps term for him.)

Having to read thru "two step's arguments" makes this thread the most interessting of the wh-5 threads. Also i believe that you James are totally capable of taking critics seriously and improve in various ways. I do believe, if any, you are the person to take on that challange and get going into an even better CSM9 period.

For what it's worth - I'm sure you can still count on some major voices and i wish you all the best in this years election.

Short answer: Yes. Yes I did.

I started my own corp, prior to that I was a grunt in a multi hundred player corp, and I have close friends other corps. Without a doubt, player corps are one of the "must have" things that has allowed EVE to succeed. I've talked a bit with different devs about what new forms player corps could take, how that impacts new player conversion, long term retention, and overall enjoyment of the game.

The campaign season is a crucible. You can watch candidates refuse to budge, and break what should shape them, and others fail to solidify. Both times around I've gone in with a plan, and come out with it adjusted and refined, better than before and more suitable for the term ahead. This time my greatest shift has been the acknowledgement that yes, I do need to be a more public figure. Should be a fun year ahead.
