As to your question, my pipe dream is to have a second ammo for Interdictors (the destroyers we see so little use of in lowsec). That ammo would be a jump drive interdiction sphere, and would only inhibit jump drives from firing, not subcaps from warping. This would preserve the general bubble free existence enjoyed by lowsec pilots while giving pause to those who would escalate engagements by dropping supers. A supercap escalation in lowsec is a relatively quick affair. The longer your supers are on field, the more likely someone else will get a cyno in to drop on you as well. Giving lowsec groups the ability to pin these supercaps in place will greatly increase the risk in dropping them.

It's not hard to get help to kill supers in lowsec if you can hold them down for 15 minutes or more. Opposing Militias will temp blue for super kills, and batphones will ring off the hook.

Barring a lowsec friendly bubble, I'd be in favor of a specialized module that has a singular purpose of scrambling a ship's jump drive and is good for nothing else. As to which ship could use such a module? Why not all of them, as long as they think to equip it? HICs would still have the advantage of shutting it all down. Fleets without HiC suport would have to resort to bumping to keep supers from warping away.

I only today listened to your show for the first time. Specifically the one relating to the Ero/Sohkar incident. After listening to you talk, I have decided to add you to my ballots. All of them. (And high up too!)

That is not something I've had to deal with in quite some time. It's not something we deal with too much in lowsec, but when I lived in null back in the day it could be a problem for some people.

For myself, I always would look up the character's kill record to see what sort of threat they posed, kept my DScan refreshed, and an eye on my intel channels for any movement. there have been many suggestions made in the past to solve the issue, but even the best ideas haven't gotten very far.

It's frustrating, because from a gameplay perspective, if the person is really afk and cloaked up someplace they're probably not playing the game, but having a profound impact on people who are. On the other hand, if they're actually AFK, they shouldn't pose a threat either. It's the fear that they might not actually be afk that causes the anxiety about the issue.

If changes are being pressed by a CSM member from null sec to combat the issue, I'll certainly put my support behind it providing the proposed change does not negatively impact lowsec play, but I won't be likely to propose anything myself. This isn't a serious issue for lowsec PVPers and PVEers, and they have other serious issues that I would need to press on their behalf.

It's been a while since we've spoken and much has been going on. In the coming weeks we'll be sharing with you a lot of important news regarding upcoming changes to Eve Radio and the Gaming Radio Network as a whole as well as unveiling our new media website which we hope will help steer us back on the path of awesomeness.

It's all very exciting and has been kept pretty hush hush while development work continued and as soon as we're in a position to start sharing more information you can bet your ass I'll be here to tease it out until you're ready to scream in frustration.

Many of you know that the Council Of Stellar Management (CSM) is currently in the process of taking ballots for it's ninth iteration to represent the interests of the Eve Online player base through discussion with CCP.

While this is not news for many of you what is of specific interest this time round is that one of our very own, DJ Funkybacon, is running for election in order to argue for greater consideration for the woefully under represented Low Sec and Factional Warfare player base.

While Eve Radio as an entity is generally politically neutral we do recognize the merit in supporting and promoting the campaign of an individual we are all very familiar with who also happens to have a very keen understanding of the topics he is hoping to become elected to represent.

With that in mind, we'd ask that you consider using your vote to help elect DJ Funkybacon to the CSM not because of his popularity as an Eve Radio broadcaster but because of his keen understanding and first hand experience of Low Sec and Factional Warfare from both an active player and journalists perspective.

Here's a few words from the man himself.

Greetings Eve Radio listeners and supporters!

Those of you who have been around Eve Radio for a while will likely need little introduction, but for the benefit of those of you that don't get to visit with us Saturday's at midnight, allow me to introduce myself.

In August of 2006 I officially joined this wonderful organization that has been such a huge part of the Eve community since there was an Eve community to be a part of. Over the years, myself and my cohosts, have used Eve Radio and the access it's given us to prominent Devs and Community members as a force for good in the Eve community. Whether we were speaking cadidly with CCP and the CSM during monoclegate, or having CCP Rise and CCP Fozzie on the show for live discussions on ship balancing, or getting all the players involved in the latest community drama to air everything out so that you, the listener, could form your own opinions with more than the agendas of a few talking heads (not even directly involved) pushing their views down your throats, we've been there.

While I spend much of my play time pew pewing in lowsec and teaching newbros how to PVP on my SP main character, Mirana Niranne, I have a vested interest in helping Eve continue to be the best damn sandbox game we know of. That is why I'm asking for your help and support this CSM election cycle. Over the years, the CSM has become a huge influence in future game design of Eve. With each successive CSM session, CCP has continued to realize the value in soliciting the input of this body before making rash decisions. In a way, it's made my job as a member of Eve's media community a little easier, but we can't rest on our laurels. The CSM needs a strong and diverse group of players, people who really understand their areas of the game, to step up and put in the time and effort necessary to help continuously improve the game we all know and love.

I've been playing this game for over 10 years now, almost 8 of them in the public view as part of the team here at Eve radio. When the issues have arisen, I've taken pains to present ALL sides of the issues, even the unpopular ones, because I've always believed it was the right thing to do. My passion for the game, and my convictions while covering and promoting it are two things I think will do a world of good on the council this year. I hope I can count on the support of you, the members of Eve Radio's community, to help me bring some of that passion for the sandbox to the CSM.

Well as you can see, I did not send that mail. That came from MrBlades of Eve Radio. As I have 8 years of service with the station, I was asked to send them a few words for a news item on the site, which is on the site, and it looks like those words were also included in an e-mail. If you are getting the e-mail, then you must have signed up for an account to get e-mails from Eve Radio. There's really not much I can do for you, as I have nothing to do with ER management or e-mails, though it may comfort you to know that I don't actually know what your email address is.

After doing some research into the matter for you, a single mail was sent out sometime Saturday morning. The only possible way you could have gotten more than 1 I am told, is if you signed up for multiple Eve Radio accounts... and why would you do that? Maybe you were trying to cheat on some contest and made a few accounts? I really can't say.
