When does the summer expansion typically come out and how soon before will we be able to get information about it?

I think the new deployable structures were a pretty big deal, actually. Those MTUs and Mobile Depots really changed things up imho, and they keep coming out with more of them. Last time we got such game changing toys was when they released T3 cruisers, and the deployable structures are a lot more accessible to everyone.

... keynote speeches are all you need to watch... the rest is "filler" and spoonfeeding for the fanboyz... and even the keynotes tend to babble on at times...

EVE hasn't really had a good expansion in years...those we've had the last couple of years are more like oversized patches.

The changes to Drones and Mining barges and a few other things have been announced already

You know, I hear this a lot. In particular; "CCP is doing too much rebalancing and fixing old stuff instead of introducing new stuff! ANGER!!"

A couple of years ago when CCP was still doing new content every expansion, the general consensus around here was that CCP should be spending more time on fixing old stuff before adding new stuff.

So make up your mind. Which is it?

should* be balanced these days ... thing is, they've gotten smarter about it and are staying away from the "jesus features" that they used to release (and then abandon for ages).

So now, over (say) 18 months, we'll get a big feature, with all the little bits (e.g. MTU, etc) all working because they've been debugged on TQ for 2-3 patch cycles, instead of just one big feature thats released and horribly broken for 3 years.


*as in "I expect it to", not that this is what I want CCP to do.

Since it's ridiculous to expect masses of people to agree on anything let alone maintain their old views in changed circumstances, it needs to be a mix of both.

Last year we got warp tunnels of dizzy pukeiness and what... I'm having a hard time remembering now. I've probably went through too many gates.

Mostly I'm hoping they announce they've found a way to clone CCP Karkur.
