http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/new-player-training-sessions-pvp-track/

After reading the article I thought to myself, "What an awesome program to teach rookies the inns and outs of the basics of the environment."

......then I read the following last few lines of the article that proves the hidden agenda of the Dev's.

Finally, we will cap everything off by running a developer-led frigate fleet looking for death and destruction throughout the universe. These have been massively successful so far, seeing hundreds of new players experience their first taste of combat!

....Dev's leading rookies by the hundreds into combat means that a lot of DPS is going to be on the field and moving through systems like a death lull.

Which systems are going to be the "Testing Grounds?"

Regardless of these perceived training sessions lets call them what they really are. Thousands of new rookies being trained as pirates to effect the will of the Dev's on the Universe of New Eden itself. The Dev's are building their own hit squads.

This cannot be tolerated nor will it be allowed.

CCPs last mass pvp event worked out so well, I have no concern that the next one will present a challenge to anyone, other than the poor suckers that try to be part of the dev led fleet.

Translation: CCP devs will be leading herds of sacrificial lambs to the slaughter in null, where their under-the-table buddies in nullsec will be conveniently tipped off and waiting to ambush them en masse.

Send them to Sendaya. I'm sure HERO and CVA would welcome them with open arms. And make sure they jump into Doril

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

i'll use some alts to put thousands of smartbomb rokhs up on contract so you camp all the gates in all the systems to prevent all the new players from roaming with all the devs in all of new eden.

all happy now?

Rather a conspiracy theory remain a conspiracy than to be proven true.

DevSwarm now that's an interesting thought.

I wonder if the Dev's are going to be roaming about with their rookies in Jovian ships such as the Eidolan or are they going to be piloting normal ships?

Null Sec is the only real option for where CCP leads care bears to fight.

Primarily, the mechanics allow for 'free PvP' in null sec. Taking a group of pilots to low sec would in essence make them all pirates, taking security status hits, acquiring global criminal status, etc. If CCP did take players to low sec to fight, it would be an even bigger source of conspiracy theory, since they'd be exposed to those negative effects 'because CCP told them to'.

High sec has an obsession with null sec. On any given day half the threads here amount to 'come on fellow care bears, let's get together and teach those null guys a lesson!' Which of course never happens. But given the promise of someone else taking charge and FC'ing, the last live event saw no shortage of tourists hoping to blob-whore on their very first KM before being one-shotted back to a high sec cloning vat.

Null sec will actually put on a show. We'll come out and fight. There won't be several threadnaughts of tears over losses, because we lose ships every day. If CCP ever led a fleet INTO high sec to kill locals, the locals would all run for stations and log out. Null sec will send out rage pings on Jabber to get fleets together at the slightest whiff of a fight.

There is no need for conspiracy. We all have active intel channels- a single dude in a ceptor doesn't cross our space without being reported in each system he enters. A kitchen sink blob of a thousand isn't exactly sneaking up on anyone.
Also- since the point of the last live event was to kill CCP Marauder fleets, the location was somewhat known. I think CCP didn't want to directly target null sec players for being made cannon fodder for care bears weekending in null, so they needed an NPC target, and just expected null sec to come out and fight.

It didn't end well for the care bears. We killed CCP's fleets long before high sec even arrived. Then we killed all of them too.

Regardless of the numbers they bring, it'll be a kitchen sink mess made up primarily of fail fit boats flown by people needing basic PvP instruction. Against that will be highly experienced null sec pilots (been at constant war for nearly a year now), flying tight doctrine fleets of purpose-fit, and often rather shiny ships. It'll be our backyard, with JB networks, titans on call, intel channels, capitals if needed, and the ability to reship in minutes.

Good luck.
