On one hand there is the tragedy that ~2000 people died. Straight
On the other, US tourists aren't bragging, "Everything is bigger and better in American!" Smile

This is a case like the recent Norwegian thing. At the same time there was the starving Ethopians, 200 000 of them but we cared more about the 98 who were shot. Not all human life is valuable it seems and if so then this 9/11 is far too stale and there is much juicier things to care about now.

P.S. The international news is our new Roman Colosseum. We are down right ghoulish and just want some drama to talk about because our lives are dull. I think that if you are honest about it, unless you know someone that knows people that died or know people that died personally, they are strangers and you don't actually care for the people involved. You are just rubber necking the scene of the crash. Those planes were a spectacular crash.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Yeah but watch that other thread last another six months as more and more people conform to say their empty words.

In the USA, nobody cared much for atrocities in Iraq until someone posted that video of a Marine chucking a puppy off a cliff.

When it comes down to it, people only truly care about what affects them personally. Otherwise it just an empty empathetical offering of regret.
