For a 15 year old who asked for ideas how to keep his training queue loaded and having computer troubles, you sure seem to be creating a lot of threads.

Shhh. Don't poke holes in the fabric of the forum veil.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

By asking that, you already show that you should NOT run a corp.

You have to be the father figure, the mother figure, the good cop, the bad cop, the brother, the counsellor, the teacher, the priest. If that doesn't work, raise tax to 100%.

I find that the best way to run a corp is to have only one member in it and never log into the game. And name it something arrogant that annoys people.

But maybe that's just me.

Step 1: Know how to play this game. Or atleast know how to do whatever your corp is gonna do.

Step 2: Be as organized as possible! Corp isk goes further then personal isk!

Step 3: Recruit! Never stop recruiting. Recruit solid dudes not corp thieves.

Step 4: Don't be afraid to kick people that you don't like from corp.

Step 5: Don't try to do everything yourself. Delegate!

And the Cub Scout den mother. Big smile

When people at work ask what I do in EVE, I sometimes tell them I dream up expeditions to go on and/or merit badges to work for, and that's what we do. You've gotta make sure everyone brought a canteen and a sack lunch and that Timmy has his epi-pen and it's not going to rain today.

Except in space. And sometimes kind of evil with lots of swearing and jokes about movies.

Basically one of the most important tenents of being a corp CEO, or a leader at any level is to blame all negativity and morale drops on spies and agents provocateur. These low-lifes must be shouted down at all costs.

The most serious answer I could give is look at The Mittani. You don't have to like him but being a spy tyrant has actually paid off for every goon and affiliated person.

That is to say, authoritarian, with a defined structure, delegation of power to trusted persons (micromanaging has been the death of many an alliance), removal and straining of power to everyone you don't trust. Make it so that the dumbest spy inflicts the least damage, the only check should be against the disillusioned leader can't boat-anchor everything. The system needs to be set up so that's preventable.

Otherwise it has to be tailored to your corp/alliance culture. One thing is for sure, councils, oligarchy, and democracy are utterly worthless and a sure way to fail. I know some ofyou might hold democracy as an ideal in real life, but understand that this is a video game, and silencing/removing dissidents just means they have to find a new corp.

Aquila Sagitta and Proletariat Tingtango have both given good advice. The only thing I would add is that you should know what you want your corp to be doing. Focus on something specific, especially if you're starting out: say to yourself, we are the corp that does x, whatever x is, and then concentrate on it a bit. Mining? Make sure you are getting structures in place and maintaining them to support that. PVP? You need to think about regular fleet roams, and ship replacement programs and the like. And so on. Don't be afraid to listen to advice: if you're clear about your goals, you'll find it much easier to tell good advice from bad.

"Enduring", "restrained" and "ample" as designations for starship components are foreign to the genre of high-tech science fiction and don’t belong in Eve Online. (And as for “scoped” …)

Don't worry about SRP or anything, it breeds entitlement and laziness, apparently.

Ask anyone.

Hang on, I'm testing your original thesis

Invite me to your Corp, make me CEO, give me all the shares, the Corp Wallet, and all Corporate (and personal) assets.
