I must be doing something wrong

I have a spreadsheet I built myself to allow me to quickly see what I need for manufacturing in terms of minerals and how much ore I need to mine to get said minerals. Standard stuff and has worked out for me reasonably bang on.

However, I've duplicated it and modified the duplicate with all the new details of ore and yields and I'm finding that instead of losing minerals I'm gaining them.

If it actually works out this way in game then the new refining changes are going to work out but if not then what am I doing wrong?

Here's the link for the existing details:

And before you start it's got nothing to do with using Numbers. Blink

In the Blueprints page, lines "needed" and "ore to be mined", how is it that for Pyerite the "to be Miined" is less than "Needed", but for Isogen in is more?

You get more Pyerite from Scordite than you do Isogen from Omber? You need 333 units of Scordite to refine but you need 500 units of Omber to refine.

I haven't looked, but have you accounted for the fact they are also changing the volume of the ore per refining unit?

Yep, it's in the Refining workbook.

Ah, ok... the relationship between minerals and primary ores is not very explicit in that part of the sheet.

No worries. As I said it was largely for my own use so I kind of worked it for me. The totals in the Blueprints come from the refining and mineral totals and worked from there.

The green bits are all the places where I need to manually enter something just in case you hadn't already worked it out.

I did notice that in the old sheet I had a problem with Omber in that for some reason it was a manual entry in the Station Totals. That's been fixed now.

Like I say, if my results are actually intended then I don't think we miners/refiners have a whole lot to worry about.
