Story of Eve... and new commodities

Browsing the market i found a new special edition commodities item:
"Band of Brothers Director Access Key"

My feelings are mixed, i find it funny and for sure there's a nice story behind it . But in the same time i think u guys are making joke with the ppl who suffer back then, to make a item like this.
Why we don't see an item looking like a T2 bpo called ''Eve biggest blunder" , or a mini cyclone called "Make me"
For sure there is a nice story behind those 2 as well.

They're not making a joke. Its a sign that the prophecy is true.

Way back when BoB was disbanded, there was a story floating around that CCP would one day release a mythical access key with the power to grant access to the wealth of BoBs hangers. The one chosen to find the key would ressurect BoB and return nullsec to its glorious days of renters (forget that bit).

According to the prophecy, the chosen one's name would contain 4 Ds and 5 As. It all makes sense now.

You hold the power. You are the chosen one.

Seize that access key, take possession of the hangers and rise to power at the head of BoB Revived.

Crush The Mittani like only a 'wis'ard can*.


































* if that access key doesn't work, I have one in a hanger somewhere I can sell you. Cheap too. Just 1 Billion ISK. Think of all the wealth it will bring you

I'm not quite sure I get the intention of your post?

Do you dislike the item for being an "in joke" and not getting it?

In which case, I say the following:
These items are tributes to the history and great stories of EVE. These things are probably one of the driving forces behind the success of EVE Online in the cluttered MMO marketplace.

If you want to be in on the joke, literally any of the stories can be found with a quick google search.

If you have issue with CCP poking fun at players.
I kindly direct you to Hello Kitty Online, you might fit in better there.

ALL of these are items directly poking fun at CCP.

The point is, we're all supposed to be 'mature' individuals here.
