Faction Battleships' Meteoric price rise in The Forge

Is there anyone here that can give me insight on what is driving the extreme price increase in faction battleships? over the past month, I've seen several faction hulls increase by nearly 100m apiece. Any insight or speculation is appreciated!

Taking a guess, since I am not in that market, did your read the blog about summer changes on compression, minerals and ores? Maybe its just speculation kicking in late?

If it is speculation, then it's really coordinated. Usually when I see spikes like this, I get out of a market for fear of a crash. This has been a consistent rise over the course of an entire month, which means either really ballsy traders have their money in battleships, or something is getting squeezed in the production process that is currently driving up the cost. OR, as my conspiracy-theory side would like to think, this is coordinated manipulation by a major group.

Mineral prices are going up, and most profit margin is from buying blueprints with lp and then building them.

Not sure minerals are the cause, otherwise everything else would be rising like that too. More likely it's people reading the pirate frigate rebalance and hedging that CCP Rise's "we hope to rebalance all 15 pirate faction ships" turns out to be true.

Also for the vindicator; when CCP announced they were gonna remove web strength bonuses from the game prices dropped from 1.4 bill to 900 mill rather fast. Now that CCP has announced they wont be removing them the Vindi prices should rise back to their old level.

This, I've bought up 20 Rattlesnake BPCs on this basis and I am a very small market player. I can think of a couple of other people that have picked up many, many more than that.

I bought up a few Rattlesnake hulls when they were going for around 400m each. I'm looking forward to the pirate battleship rebalance.

Depends which faction. Is it all the empire faction or empire and pirate?

I know there have been some changes to the supply of one empire bs via LP purchases due to changes down in FW space. If a faction sits at a low tier for an extended period, the prices will be driven upwards. There are two that are at a low tier now. One has been for some time now. One is more recent as in the last 1-2 months.

If it is the empire faction ships you are referring to, get em cheaper at the trade hubs close to the faction warfare. Jita is frequently out of balance compared to Dodixie, Amarr and Rens and even Hek when there is supply there.

If it's pirate faction.. Heck if I know.
