The Future of Logistics! (cake inside)

With Crucible out and undeniable proof available that CCP can actually get quite a lot done in a short amount of time, I'd like to have a broad discussion about one of the :bigthings: very much relevant to FiS content.

That :bigthing: is logistics (the repair your friends kind)

Personally I'd like to see the role expanded on a great deal:

  • Hull Tiers: Frigate -> Cruiser -> Battleship -> Capital. Small and medium reps are in the game but hardly used, and it seems silly that such a crucial element of fleet warfare is delegated to so few ship hulls.
  • Role Within a Role: More gameplay elements for logistic hulls other than remote repair and capacitor transfering. Need more ways to make everyone love logi pilots!
  • More Relevant Implants and Rigs: Plain and simple! Would like to have more ways to be more effective with logistics, I don't feel there are enough meaningful ways to modify logistics gameplay compared to other roles.

Maybe not cake, but as long as CCP Soundwave is on the job then I'll at least know it will be safe from bears.

I would argue we already have a capital logistics ship - carriers

But I agree that frig sized logi ships would be a blast - at the very least.

Not sure about BS sized logi ships though

Maybe I should have clarified; I wasn't implying that we needed a new capital or even cruiser level hull. I'm simply of the naive belief that small reps should go on frigates, medium on cruisers, large on battleships, capitals on... I'll let you guess. P

The thought of proper frig sized logistics ships makes me happy in the pants, CCP make it happen!
