Launcher should detect new patches when left running

I appreciate all the small patches we currently get, and they run very smoothly with the launcher - kudos for that.

However, if you leave the launcher open over DT, it does not notice when a new patch becomes available. Ideally it should auto-apply the patch without having to close the launcher manually. At the very least it should tell you that a patch is available and offer to restart itself to apply it.
