Mixed drones grouping

I'd like to see the ability to form groups of mixed drones. For instance, be able to have a named drone group that consists of 3 Hobgoblin I and 2 EC-300 drones. If the group holds more drones than can be controlled (ex. holding 6 when you can control only 5, or requiring more bandwidth than your ship has) then the drones are launched largest to smallest.

You can already do this unless I am misunderstanding you. You can group drones into named categories of whatever you like. For example on my carrier I have a subsection under drones that is just mixed fighters of all 4 races. Hitting the launch fighters tab will launch all variations or I could regroup them and throw in whatever type of drone I wanted.

Maybe that can be done with fighters, but I can not, for instance, create a group called "mixed" and have scout and ECM drones within that group.

You have to right-click your drones and 'move' them into your group first.

And when I try to do that I get the following error message: "You can not mix different types of drones in the same group."

Yah, at present I know of no way to mix drones in preselected groups either. It would be helpful.

move them manually into the new group when the drones are in space ^^
