So I joined a new corp. and am learning my way around null sec. The thing is, Drone space REALLY seems to suck for ratting; no loot on most of them and the bounties are worse then a level three mission. I was guessing I must be running the wrong sites or something I tried looking on the inter-web, but can't seem to get any good information.

I am in a -0.1 system and there is a -0.4 next door. Where and what sites should I be looking for to get some loot, or good bounties?

Or, does Drone space just suck? If so, perhaps we should change it to Waste of Space... lol.

... waits for the howls and screams of "Nerf Empire" to begin... because everyone knows that breaking Empire is the easiest way to fix everything else in the game without actually doing anything constructive.

I was really hoping for some good news... I am suddenly very bummed out by my null sec adventure...

Ya CCP kicked Drones in the nuts a while back when they removed the drone poop to better involve mining in the mineral market, despite the fact that mining in LS and NS was and still is largely nonexistent as a market driver, and takes a back seat to "gun mining" and loot reprocessing. (which they plan to nerf this summer to increase mining market, despite people still not mining the ore for the minerals anyway.)

They just added Nexus Chips for SOE stuff to drones, although from everything ive seen and heard the drop rate is pretty low, and hardly makes DR any more self sustaining.

Best to just get an alt and stick in HS and run missions if you need isk while living in Drones, because that is what everyone else who has ever lived in drones did when the Drone Poo nerf happened.

I think now drones drop some special nexus chip that can be turned in for SoE faction ships.

But the ratio and such I have not looked up.

As I understand the current null sec politics , you are a renter, expect a ***** ****** ******* god awful system and to get regular prostrate examination from your landlord

Drone regions are pretty crappy. If you mine or rat in upgraded systems, they are fine since the ores are the same in the industry belts and the loss of loot is made up with better bounties.

That said, the hacking sites are pathetic, the combat sites are pathetic, plexes are pathetic, and there are no loot drops requiring you to rely on logistics more than anything else. You can still have fun there you just need to learn to live without that stuff.

Get into PVP some and you'll be ok since most people consider Drone regions "renter regions" and full of nullbears who don't like PVP. You'll have plenty of targets.

Drone Regions is very profitable, but you have to be smarter than the average bear.

No, but without having to loot you can just run for bounties. They did put some nexxus chips for SOE ships, Haven't heard anybody finding them yet. Think of it as a beginner system, no one wants the space and its uncomplicated, Just learn null and move on down the road.
