There is no proof of her being a Nation loyalist, nor has anyone - outside of TS-F in their attempt to cloud the reading of the situation - made a claim of such.

Pieter Tuulinen noted that she is uniquely sympathetic to those who have neurological conditions with similar pathology to her own or to those in a position to help her. This is true. Various members of TS-F fit these two criteria and have, in the past, networked closely with her in regards to this. There is the question of whether she has - willingly or otherwise - provided TS-F with brain-scans and taken treatment from them to this end. Last I checked, she had not but TS-F were still pursuing such efforts.

It has nothing to do with drinks at a party. It is simple risk analysis and management. Where you cannot exclude something definitively, the safest course of action is not to rule it out. This is a process repeated in various situations we encounter on a day to day basis - corporate recruiting and the identification of spies and thieves being an example.

Sympathies are to be expected - TS-F are accomplished diplomats and there are aspects of Nation's ideology that are not altogether disharmonious with the values, needs and desires of greater humanity.

If Scherezad was a loyalist I would have little hesitation in revealing her as such. She is not. She is, in my view, a sympathist and as such I choose not to trust her views or actions when dealing with issues either directly related to or tangentially connected with Nation.

Nor is it about a witch-hunt, BS or otherwise, as much as TS-F are now trying to redirect this thread towards that purpose.

You do realize I'm not defending that, right? I was helping to clarify, making an educated guess (hence the words "I think") as to what they were talking about. I don't believe Scherezad is a 'plant' at all.

Anybody could be a plant. We still need to hire people. Spies, plants, and others will inevitably get through the process. We do our best to filter out the bad apples, but eventually something can get through. They have gotten through before. We aren't going to twist ourselves into a knot because Schere might have been poked and prodded by TSF.

She's gone through the whole background check process, multiple interviews, medical records from both Lai Dai and our own doctors. She's gone through exams, physicals, and cross referencing galore. We've done our best to see if there are any obvious red flags, and found none.

Maybe we missed. It's entirely possible. I don't think we did.

Either way, she's working for us, we're glad to have her on-board, and we aren't worried about it.

She's also not an employee. She's a subcontractor.

I never said anything of the sort. I said I don't think she is compromised by Nation. That's my subjective opinion, not some hard fact I am trying to impress as objective. I'm not sure why this is so difficult for you to understand

I'm not in charge of recruitment, for the record. I wasn't even the one who interviewed her. All I did was give her the Job Preview, which is a sit-down where I discuss what we offer and where we can fit her in. I handled a pilot API check (alongside three others who also did), so there is that too. I didn't see her medical records. I didn't talk to the doctors who conducted them. I didn't even see her Lai Dai file.

That's all HR, which is not my department. The only reason I ran the API check at all was because she's joining my corporation and I help out with RDC recruitment.

If you're asking me to support Pieter. Very well. I'd die for him, if needs be. If you're asking me to support PYRE. No.

Everything I've learned, by firsthand observation, and later, what was confided in me, paints a picture that's FAR from family. Contest it however you will, Tiberious, but about the only one who I've known to be family to him is his own wife, who I TRY to avoid being drawn into direct disputes with out of respect for that fact. Try, not always succeed.

What's on your agenda is an arrangement under fire, Tiberious. Fine, defend it, and I'll applaud not only the effort, but the apparent success of said effort against what you correctly termed a witch hunt.

Whats on mine is somebody who not only has had to clean up Pyre's messes over and over, publicly and privately, to the point of resigning such duties, but is now stuck right in the middle of yet another public vomit contest, because of a decision he didn't have a hand in, yet became a part of out of loyalty. Don't ask me to support the apparatus that has done that to it's own just for the sake of trying to prove how uncaring they are, no matter the logic... And yes, I do see the logic, of this single arrangement.

What I don't see is how I can support an organization whose public face, with one exception, has largely been vitriol and sarcasm for the better part of their existence. Pieter is that exception.

From where I stand, I have the abominable choice of sitting quietly while this happens, repeatedly, or taking flak from people who apparently have heard everything that I've ever spoken about, behind closed doors, with a monumentally frustrated friend. Given that choice, I choose to "attack" and draw out whoever else I can to the best of my ability, so he's not the only one taking fire from a collection of idiots who can't make the distinction between Pyre and Pieter. If that means I wind up being looked down upon by the audience, fine. I'd rather be seen as a fool than sit silently while this happens.

Thankfully, you at least are on his side in the broad sense. For that, and for flying his wing, I'm grateful.

Now... I'm not going to delve further into this. It's too personal, and with respect, I don't believe it would matter to you any more than the next man. If I'm wrong, then pull me aside sometime and I'll elaborate to the best of my ability. Since it seems the snipers on both sides have found other targets, I'll be perfectly content to bring my involvement to an end on this note, and wish you well on your way in whatever endeavor is to follow.

Your own boys words, Rosebud. You trying to say that fifteen minutes is actually meaningful in terms of employment decisions? If so, how does it actually affect it? From a security standpoint, it's meaningless, unless you'd like to outright contradict anything here?

As for the exchange of a structure... Was it full of Insidious Nation Nanites? Are all their base belong to you?

Look Katrina. Take a step back. The Foundations is neither as bad as you are imagining, nor as virulent. We make deals all the time with non-Sansha groups, because it is the sensible thing to do.

Pyre has done the same. So has I-Red at times.

Take a step back and examine your motives here. Are you attacking Pyre because they have allied with us at times in a very loose manner, or are you simply attempting to tar some people you have decided you don't like?
