Any idea what could cause this? When I ALT+F4 often a very short loop keeps playing and I can only get rid of it when I restart the PC... Annoying as hell!

I use a Auzen Meridian 2G

Vista 32bit, Asus Xonar D2.

I get that every time I close the client, never happened before the patch.
Instead of a reset, turning soundcard off/on in the device manager helps.
Haven't tried flipping client's sound off/on yet.

Exactly the same here - happens when quitting the game or when the patches were applied (anything that causes the client to close).

I have an Asus Xonar DX, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SP1.

Disabling in the device manager works too - thanks Zarkon.

Disable/Enable does NOT work for me... It asks me to restart for the change to take effect so no point in doing it that way...

Same problem here, happens every time I close a client or get DC'd. (Thus restarting the client)

Uninstalling soundcard and then scanning for new harware and reinstalling stops the looping, and saves a reboot. Isn't much quicker than a reboot though.

Same problem here as well.

Win7 Ultimate x64
Phenom II x4 945 (3.0Ghz)
GTX 460 1GB
ASUS Xonar DX

Kinda sucks when I'm taking a hiatus and still have to log on to change skills.

Have not tried the disable/enable hardware yet. No other games cause this problem.

Same problem here.
Os: Windows 7
Soundcard: Asus Xonar DX2
A solution for this problem would be nice.

lg Forge

Edit: Before you close eve, you should disable the sound, in the ingame options. So the problem does not occur.

Update: Solution for Asus Soundcard users !

You must only deactivate the GX Button in the driver software.
If you don't know where the button is, you can look here !

Edit: Solution for other Soundcards !

Try to deactivate the EAX or DS3D GX in your sound driver.
I think, that would solve this problem too !

Thank you so much!

I got the ASUS Xonar DS and that issue when closing the client was driving me mad.
