This has happened to me. Twice. Got reimbursed, but the second time, the Support staff tried to blame it on me. Nope. Not true.

I *did* get reimbursed, so I'm not kicking too hard.

OTOH, it seems to be more wide-spread than just lil' ol' me.

Once upon a time I had a long skill in my que. It was so long I forgot that it was still training (even when I was online). About a day after it had ended I went to go check it and realized that I had "lost" a day of training. Oh well. It's just a game I told myself. So I slapped on another skill and carried on.

It amuses me when some people make these situations seem like the "end of the world." It isn't. Just keep playing. Blink

Hardly the end of the world, but damned annoying none-the-less.

A funny thing happened. Last night I set up 3 skills to train. So I check on them this morning...one of them had completed but the training then stopped leaving the other two. I didnt pause it, it just stopped on its own. I dont know how much time I lost.

Anyone else experience this?

Yes I experienced this on an alt a couple weeks ago.

I've had it happen one other time over the course of many years. In the other case the character finished a skill and never continued the queue properly. It happens.

You neglected to blame it on high sec pubbies, Baltec. You're slipping.

But I feel your pain, nonetheless. I've done the same.

ugh.

I get all buttmad when I forget my training for like, 3-4 hours. I'd probably freak out and beat my head off my desk if I forgot for this long.

Lol

I occasionally forget and EVEMON screams like a biatch till I fix it. I am not obsessed with SP though and am more meh .. oh well.

I have not however had a skill stop due to a game bug, that would be annoying.

Crazy idea: fix it. There's no legitimate reason to ever pause training queues, remove the option. Provide direct switching of active training between characters no matter who you're logged on as and finally extend the training queue to a week and allow injection and queuing of skills which we don't have prereqs for.

Skill queue online is not good for anyone.

Much better than wake-up-at-four-in-the-morning-because-no-queue online like we used to have.

I was reading .... In this old historical book about a time....long long ago....when there was no skill queue. Shocked

Can you imagine?? I am sure it must be pure fiction...such a terrible thing could not have existed.

Yes, I'm aware that it used to be worse, and fixing that did not kill the game. Neither will a more hands off skill queue.

I have removed a rule breaking post.

The rules:
5. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.

think of the time when "we had no internet", add to it "the time when we had no Television", and multiply it by "the time when we had no effective means of birth control".

and you are merely grasping the idea.

btw, worse than lost SP is finding a skill trained to V like someone else pointed out, i have gallente battleship V and electronic attack frigate V... i must have been pretty tired after work to set that to train and call it a night.

and yes, im aware i had about 30 days to check the que and change it... but who does that? Blink

I realized that I never paused my training queue when I put on some implants. I actually didn't know I had to pause.

Does anyone know what the impact is of not having paused it?

I didint know that was possible. It always makes you pause else you cant plug in the implant. Are you sure you are not talking about pluging in a new skill? You dont need to pause for that.

Wow, that would suck. This character just managed to get the requirements for HACs finished, I'd be pulling my hair out if that happened to me.

Last time I put some implants in I didn't have to pause. It was a recent change.

Not sure about implants such as +int etc..
