Issues, Workarounds & Localization

I just fought a wolf in a tormentor and the log doesn't show him dealing any damage to me whatsoever, but when his scythe fleet issue buddy landed to get on the mail, the log shows him dealing damage to me with 180mm autocannons.

I tested this later with my alt, warped to a safe and took turns shooting back and forth. Both accounts have the exact same log settings, which are to show weapon type and damage done. On my alt I got all the correct data

Here you see that when I shoot with my guns, I see the weapon type (200mm AutoCannon), and my alt sees the weapon type when he is shot. But when my alt shoots me with Light Ion Blaster I don't see the weapon type on my main.

Why did the wolf appear to deal no damage to me in the log? But the scythe who shows up to wh**e on the mail shows both damage dealt and weapon type. Then when I later test this with my alt shooting me, I don't see the weapon type even though I have selected to show it in the log settings? This is seriously annoying especially in frigate pvp where you have to quickly determine the enemy's fit. Anyone else have this problem?
I have tried messing around with the log settings but no success. I guess the last option is to reinstall eve.

TL;DR: Both accounts have the same log settings, don't see enemy weapon type on other account

EDIT: Cleared cache and relogged, and it seems to be working... for now
