hi,

i know about getting the special missions every 11 or 12 missions that you complete, and im aware that these special missions are the one's that raise your faction standings..

so, my question is this..

do i have to work with the same agent all the time to get these missions or can it be any agent for that corporation..

eg, if i did 6 missions with one agent at republic security services, and 6 missions with a different agent but still republic security services then would i be offered a special mission?

hope that makes sense... hehe.. thanks..

If the both agents are the same level then yes, It doesn't even have to be with the same corp, just the same faction IIRC.

I'm pretty certain that as a newbie I was chaining together 4 or 5 level 2 missions from different corps but the same faction and turning over a faction mission as per normal.

*may have to be the same agent type, security, distribution etc.*

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

It's 16 missions for the faction to get a storyline, agent doesn't matter but they have to be all the same level.

Note that you always get an offer from the closest available storyline agent in that faction.

You can only get one offer per agent at a time as well.

You can take advantage of this to run mission #16 close to a storyline agent for any corp you desire, as storyline missions usually give a lot of corp standing too.

Does it have to e 16 mission in a row from the same level agent? Or can it be broken up by different mission levels? Could I do five level 1 missions, a couple level 2, then finish up the other eleven level 1's?

They don't have to be in order. Nor is there any time constraint for completing 16 missions.

There is a separate counter for every faction and mission level.

I dont want to create a new topic so ill ask here. I want to increase my Caldari standind since its low. I did some L1 missions for Caldari agents and i got a story mission. I completed it and my Caldari standing went up by 0.02, but at the same time my Gallente standing went down by 0.04! I didnt kill any Gallente ships, all i did was simple courier missions. So what am i supposed to do? Im losing more Gallente standing than i gain Caldari. It seems really pointles, i dont want to totally destroy my Gallente standing.

Quite frankly, that´s the price you pay. At a certain point, the standing loss for the opposing Faction is as high or even higher than the gain with your Faction, effectively rendering those missions pointless (I believe this threshold is around 3 or 4).

Social skills can help to generally push standings higher, but if you want to have real high standings with EVERY Faction, you will eventually have to stop doing storyline missions and only do the 5 Epic Arcs every three months. On the other hand, they do give massive standing gains with little or no standing loss (+12,5% for the L4 Arcs)

It's every 16 missions exactly.

If you do 5 missions for Republic Fleet then 5 missions for Caldari Navy and then 5 missions for Federation Navy and then the 16th mission for Amarr Navy, the storyline mission will be for Amarr Navy.

Caldari and Gallente are bitter enemies, and are -5.0 standing to each other. This means for whatever % you gain with Caldari, you lose half of that % with Gallente.

Standing changes are based upon the difference from 10, so standing change affects low standing more than high standing.

https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Faction_Standing_Repair_Plan

I do Caldari (bad for Gallente), Amarr (bad for Minmatar), and Sisters of EVE missions (good for Gallente, okay for Minmatar, very slightly bad for Amarr, and insignificantly bad for Caldari). I try to keep Gallente and Minmatar above -2.0 with Diplomacy 4, which is harder to do for Minmatar, hence I run the SoE Blood-Stained Stars arc and choose the Minmatar path (it doesn't affect the other factions). After over 5 years, I'm +8.6 Caldari, +7.22 Amarr, +0.10 Minmatar, -0.56 Gallente, and it is time for me to run the SoE arc again (every 3 months).

Raising Caldari without hurting Gallente is possible, but harder to do as they don't have another faction you can run missions for (Mordu's Legion isn't available in hisec). You can get +5 with both (+6 with Connections 5), but it takes effort as you have to constantly swap faction agents to alternate storylines, unless you use one of the methods that don't have derived standing gains/losses.

See-Saw: Do Caldari storyline missions until your Gallente = Caldari, then alternate Caldari and Gallente storylines and try to keep the standings the same. See-saw is harder when standings differ by a lot.

Accepting player faction kill missions will make your standing drop like a proverbial rock.
