The bounty system is like...

... that one store you called 10 years ago looking for some information, and now the salesman calls you every week delivering unsolicited info on the company and you get web banners for their products on ever page you visit.

Seriously, I put one small bounty on someone almost a year ago. Unfortunately he gets killed all the time and now I get 2 emails a day from the system even though my bounty evaporated with the first one.

On second though, the bounty system is more like Herpes.

Either way, definitely a reason NOT to use it anymore.
CCP, please allow us to UNSUBSCRIBE from bounty notifications as soon as our portion is done.

Stop whining, when the new bounty system was introduced probably you (and half of the player base, myself included) thought it extremely funny to place bounties on everything that moved.

Now we have to pay the price for this "fun". Working as intended.

I guess a contract system for bounties was too complicated.

Hmm? My bounty kill-mails end when the last bit of isk is used. Ugh

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you bounty someone you continue getting the mails until the bounty their bounty is exhausted.

So if you put a large bounty on someone then you will be receiving the mails for quite some time.
If you put a bounty on someone and then someone else puts a large bounty on that same person before your bounty isk was exhausted you will both get the mails until the bounty is gone.

Maybe next time you can put your bounty on a corp or an alliance, multiple people can get killed fast, chewing through the bounty pool quickly.

Should have been a contract system imo. But its still better than it used to be. Everytime I used to get a bounty id get all giddy for the free isk. Now when I get a bounty I have to kill like 180K Bantams and ain't nobody got time for that.

... always thought Bounties should have a chance for 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x the payout during some random "ZERO HOUR" each day as determined by the server...

Sure, it would make Bounties more like a game show, than the farce it is... but HOLY SHEET would it be crazy for one hour each day... and very popular...

Bounties themselves are stupid. Their only use is in making carebears cry because they think they mean something. Hardly a valid reason for a game mechanic.

Completely unrelated, but do you know that if you put a bounty of 315,315isk on a miner, sometimes they freak the hell out? Funny stuff.

These notifications are very annoying, esp when you bounty everyone you know via mains and alts and try to play innocent, or enjoy friendly POS dying.

Anyway, Team Awesome who have probably done more in small fixes than the rest of CCP - ever- did indeed patch in the ability to filter notifications recently. Eve-Mail > Settings > Mail Settings > When Notification is required > etc

You may bounty me now, in thanks.

If he only gets killed in small ships, then even your small bounty might take forever to finish.

That said - I thought the bounties timed out after a few months.

AND that said - you probably have a bug and CCP should be petitioned for it. They need *all* the help they can get to chase down bugs.....

After I'm done going through my current list of targets, I'll be available for more bounty hunting. I don't do the small easy jobs, I only take on serious stuff. I might be interested in taking on new clients if the isk is good enough.

I have never put a bounty on anyone. I wish i had known this before......
I have been telling people they are useless.......

Ive placed over 1 billion in bounties, and I have a nerdgasm every time someone gets popped.

Ive even gotten hate mail.

Bounty tears are the new flavor of tears in eve.

I disagree. Obviously CCP did a very good job at trolling us.
