Hello all,

I'm going to start an alt character but i'm kinda stuck on the naming part. For the moment i have named him zedrick utrigan but i'm not to sure if its a good name. so any suggestion would be appreciated. Also please tell me what you think of the name i have now.

You should name him "alt character" or "kinda stuck" maybe even "native language"

Any name is good if you like it, try to avoid names with numbers replacing letters and excessive punctuation or xxx's though, unless you like looking a bit silly.P

Once you get some skill points recycling a character to change the name isn't worth it. Whatever you choose, after a few weeks it's with you forever.

The only person who should be happy with the name is YOU.

Screw the rest of EVE, as long as you like the name...you picked the right one.

God, the times I had complains about my name picking and it being too hard to pronounce can't be counted anymore (Smart people just stick with JP, but we know that only a very small amount of EVE players are smart P)

Create a name that is somewhere on the far end of the alphabet. Names that start with "A" often end up as primary in a fleet fight. Also if you ever decide to do wardecs, being on top of local chat tends to tip off your enemies quickly that you are in system.

then fly an hulk and name it catalyst.
Then on D scan you'll be Catalyst's Catalyst and all other miners will run away from you.

That's like a one man gank team!


To the OP, there's a few things I'd keep in mind.

- don't pick a name that starts with an early letter of the alphabet, so no A, B, D or whatever. It might not at all affect you but if you would choose a life of wars or whatever it's just easier if your name doesn't show up at the top of the local list

- I wouldn't pick a 'funny' name, many folks who started playing the trial used some 'hilarious' name in a "it's just a trial for some dumb game, who cares". And now they still play years later, and when they're on voice they'll cringe whenever someone calls their name
