Over the years Eve has changed on many levels. The biggest thing seen that has remained a constant is coalition groups. I was thinking a new skill something called Conglomeration that allows so many alliance groups in. this could also incorporate what was mentioned in another thread to put ship browser fitting for alliance and it could also include a conglomerate level for ship fittings.

Just an idea to make the DEVs consider more sillyness.

Your idea has merit, and it serves a purpose. However I am strongly against making it any easier to organize and run groups larger than alliances. It just encourages already large groups to become even bigger.

That is a good point there. There are many things CCP can do just from addional taxing or fees in maintaining it to easier war decs with higher cost.

This after all is just a silly idea see what happens with it.

If you're simply looking for a way to share fleet fittings on an alliance level that would be perfectly acceptable by me

I have asked ccp to allow pos modules to be used by people outside corp and even outside alliance. The system is already programmed, before any of the first revamps of the pos were mentioned...we have ability to manage assembly lines based on standing and security level so all they need to do is make a new tab on all the hangars of all the modules that is for PERSONAL use........where only you can get to and see your stuff. This would allow a coalition to have pos's the entire coalition can use....like a "truck stop" for ships :D

if you dont want this, dont allow use of assembly lines and, even further, dont give them the pos shield pass. Honestly, i think we should be allowed to have a LIST of alliances that CAN go inside the shield without a password being required. THis is more secure, in case they're kicked from the alliance. Also, the list should allow you to override these defaults you set. If i set your alliance to be allowed inside shield, I should be able to block an individual inside the alliance.

Ship assemblies would, of course, need enough personal space to build a ship of that size, the materials and the finished product.

Some way to share fits among a coalition seems useful, but you only need one person in each alliance to add it to their list so It's not that much of a hassle at the moment in my opinion to just have one person link it to a few individuals to spread it over the alliances.

Actual organization is something that in my opinion should be a part of the player interaction to be successful, without making it too easy to boss around a whole coalition. If coalitions were able to formally 'bond' like you suggest I fear it will lead to a much more static nullsec where alliances are more inclined to stay in a coalition I would think. More shifting power in nullsec is good to stop stagnation and making sure it's never entirely impossible to head out to nullsec as an alliance without getting stomped (well you kind of do without a coalition anywaysRoll)

It does however give a better idea of the nullsec meta to those not overly active in it, as looking at alliance sov isn't too helpful when determining which coalition rules where and whatnot without actively keeping on top of it all and scouring data all the time for changes in the game and those not visible there as well.

EVE barely recognizes alliances as it is, let alone coalitions. See no alliance tax, sov is actually held by corporations not alliances, etc.
