It's almost laughable... "whine, whine, sob, sob, The new font is sooooo horrible".

Come on. The new font is better and more readable. It isn't anything superbly innovating as helvetica or times once were, but it's an improvement without a doubt. You can set it up to your liking. You can distinguish between letters and numbers. It's easier on the eyes. Where's the problem?

Thank you ccp for listening to your users and try to make the best out of it. NOW FIX THE ..... just kidding

The patch is wonderful overall. The font change is a continuation of the trend of CCP not listening to their players.

The font change is a result of CCP listening to their players. They just didn't implement it in a way that you would have liked them to change it.

The font isn't a result of CCP listening to their players. It's a response to them listening to a subset of their players and making a drastic change. Even if I'm generous, which I will be since I don't feel like counting, and say that 80 percent of the people in this thread prefer the new font, that still leaves 1 out of every 5 that are unhappy.

There is no reason that it isn't a selection option.

oh boo hoo. you said yourself you didnt bring it up eariler, so its your own fault for assuming ccp would jsut give the option. next times you should actually bring up your issues, even if to you its common sence. otherwise stop complaining and go post in features and ideas.

That is absolutely true Badezimmer. But a selection option is very likely not a very simple thing to implement. This is an option that will please (and i'm using your numbers here) 80% of the players. That is a good thing and it does imply that ccp is listening. Maybe a future patch will bring a selection option when they see the amount of players that want that.

Still, that will mean that some players will whine about the fact that they can't change the font in every bloody font installed on their system. There's simply no way to please everyone.

So. If you are pleased with the rest of the patch, isn't this just a small inconvenience?

EDIT: Oh.. and Rhaegor Stormborn... Just because i'm not sharing your opinion does not make me a fan boy. Learn to spell, think first next time and please; next time check the picture and refer to me as a girl. I do understand that you've never seen one before, but you must have heard of them.

nice... and now what?

Why don't you go sit in a corner and do your research like a grown up boy. How many people are playing eve, how many people are on that topic and how many of the players would simply like the font or any of the other changes in this patch and not be active on the forums?

If you don't have anything more usefull to say, go play pong or something

It does explain a lot.. It explains that some people assume before thinking. And that prejudice is still with us.

Rhaegor, stop assuming, start thinking. You start to make me feel that I should assume you're a 14 year old whiny kid that doesn't know anything, yet finds himself incredibly wise and smart. Don't prove that assumption and come up with something more then just a sexistic remark about women.

There is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't be a simple thing to implement. Assuming it's written properly then within reasonable limits the text fields will automatically scale, position, and wrap any font or font size.

Actually, it does. Text exists to be read. A font that makes that easier is better.

What I'm reading is: "I acknowledge that it's better, but I'm not used to it, so I'm going to complain."

Come on guys.

Ship spinning wasn't vital to the game, you can still accomplish everything you used to be able to do using the CQ interfaces. Shouldn't you be out flying around in space instead?

It would be too much work for CCP to implement an option to choose hangar or CQ.

I just don't understand why so many people are crying over this change.

I'm complaining because it's bigger and it's screwed up my overview and because it's goofy looking in a sci-fi themed game. But my biggest complaint is that this is a change that has upset a sizable number of players and we aren't being given a choice.
