anyone got good (T2) hulk fit for mining ops? talking about full ops with 1-2 orcas.. freighter and over 10 other exhumers so something nice to fit into the fleet...
Take note there will be max boosts with all leadership skills for tank\yield etc...

Depends on where your at, in hisec I would suggest using a fully tanked Skiff. Lol

For nullsec you can use Hulks fit for max yield, just take the appropriate steps.

I got skiff... I got them all.
But only time may find excuse to use an hulk is in mining ops.

Problem is that ship for the price and beefy bonus got the most ****** pg\cpu layout I've seen.
I got mining upgrades 4 \ cpu management 5 \ pg management 5 and some other fitting skills at 4\5.
Still even with all that I think it will be tight fit due to 3 strip miners.

tanky fit (used an all l5 pilot)

hulk (exhumers 4 ) + fleet boosts make up for the lack of MLU?

abit
hulk compared to skiff with exhumer 4 has a higher yield of around 27% (15% for barges + 12% (-4% Skiff humer bonus) for humer (t2 MLU only improves mining yield by 9%)). But the main reason i efted it that way that to gank u now atleast 3 cats in .5 are needed probably 4. Barges are throw it away hulls where u can without doubt go full mining yield, on exhumers i prefer abit of tank as they r 10 times the price of a barge.

EDIT: If im confusing sry im currently in a slightly confused state

Im rephrasing it.

A Hulk has a great ship hull boni which gives it a base yield of 3 strip miners + 27% at Exhumer 4 (3% per Barge lvl + 3% per Exhumer lvl). The Skiff has a role bonus which lets her have 3 effective strip miners + 4% at Exhumer 4 (1% per Exhumer lvl). That makes the Hulk better by 23% in yield over the skiff. Now with my fit the Hulk doesnt get the 9% of the t2 MLU but the skiff can fit 1 (2nd low is filled with dc) that lets the hulk still have a yield of +14% over the skiff. My math might be wrong as im not sure where stacking might be penalized. Now to Fleet booster he effects both hulls equally so it doesnt matter. Also the same math goes for the Mackinaw too. Now it depends on your fleet ops how u run. Skiff if u fear death, Mackinaw if u dont have a hauler or Hulk.

no no makes total sense.
Also the MLU got some sick cpu penalty so avoiding them makes the whole fitting process easier.

how this for tanky hulk? (in fleet mind u)

[Hulk, I'm Angry!]
Power Diagnostic System II
Damage Control II

Limited 'Anointed' EM Ward Field
Limited Thermic Dissipation Field I
Limited Kinetic Deflection Field I
Limited Explosive Deflection Field I

Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal II
Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal II
Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal II

Medium Core Defense Field Extender I
Medium Core Defense Field Extender I

Hobgoblin II x5
Mining Drone II x5

really not sure what to put on low slot due to the fact I got plenty of cpu free if I get rid of the mlu modules...
Yield without boosts 1484/minute
with full boosts (according to EFT) 1607/minute

Edit...

did some thinking...
for price of 1 hulk hull I can get like 7-8 cove' around same yield more or less and same functionality of 3 strip miners....
I get the feeling the hulk is too expensive\squishy for its own good.

Id go with; [Hulk, Mining B]
Micro Auxiliary Power Core II
Internal Force Field Array I

Medium Shield Extender II
Kinetic Deflection Field II
Thermic Dissipation Field II
Limited Adaptive Invulnerability Field I

Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal II
Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal II
Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal II

Medium Ancillary Current Router I
Medium Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer I

Without links; Both have ~25k EHP against omni damage but this setup has 35k ehp vs catalysts (which is by far the most common suicide ganking ship) while yours only has 26k vs catalysts.

With links; 31k EHP omni on yours, 30k EHP omni on my setup, 32k EHP on yours vs 42k EHP on mine against catalysts.
Quick napkin math says your setup should tank 5 catalysts, my setup tanks 7. Thats before overheating of course.

Edit:
This skiff will tank +21 catalysts at the cost of ~10% yield. Pirate

[Skiff, Mining C]
Mining Laser Upgrade II
Mining Laser Upgrade II

Medium Shield Extender II
Medium F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction
Limited Adaptive Invulnerability Field I
Thermic Dissipation Field II
Kinetic Deflection Field II

Modulated Strip Miner II, Veldspar Mining Crystal II

Medium Anti-Thermal Screen Reinforcer II
Medium Core Defense Field Extender II

the whole point of the cove\hulk for me at least in mining ops is the ability to target 3 rocks at same time... skiff got pretty good yield but it focus on one rock so many times u just 1 cycle\kill a roid.

hmm where did u take your maths, t1 yes but the cats i know are t2 fitted and in .5 u have 16s till concord arrives if not already on grid. One cat can lay down 10k damage with void till concord arrives.

i didn't save the excel sheet but i used 596dps for 19 seconds (11,324 damage) in the maths since i still have EFT open.

That's what survey scanners are for. Having 3 miners doesn't fix that, it just makes you kill the 3 roids in one cycle instead of one.
