About 1% of any substantial population is clinically psychopathic. Within that definition there are a number of psychopathic sub-classifications who are no danger to anyone except themselves. Furthermore within that small % of psychopaths who harm others, only a small % is capable of a functional life. And to further deduct that, how many of them play EVE? And to further deduct from that, how many of them conduct themselves ingame as they do IRL.

We are talking about a fraction of 1% of the entire EVE community, that may possibly be psychopathic and harming others deliberately as a result of their disorder.

A fraction of 1%.

All factors considered, I would put the final estimate at about 0.1% of the EVE population.

Get a grip on reality, please.

... What is it with all these threads this last day?

OOPE is probably a better place for this.

I agree.

Im trying to help put an end to them by putting these unfounded accusations by some posters into some objective perspective.

The objectively deducible population of EVE that may potentially be suffering from a psychopathic disorder is so tiny as to be almost unmentionable.

The statistical likelihood of actually encountering a psychopath in EVE, let alone becoming a victim to their rule-breaking conduct, is below that of being struck by lightning. And even in that case, a simple ticket to CCP about them breaking the EULA is sufficient a remedy.

not that I think it is important, however, your argument is lacking due to selection bias.

Yes. EVE may indeed be full of dickheads. Certainly the majority of us are male and hence actually have a dickhead.

But EVE is not full of psychopaths, as some repeatedly falsely claim.

Elaborate, please. Also, consider selection bias on the part of persons who claim EVE is full of psychopaths.

1801 / 20 is a fraction.

Assuming 10,000 players (lowball), and your fraction math, 1801 / 20 * 1% * 10,000 =

...

OVER 9000!

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Awesome logic OP!
