Crucible: Patch or Expansion?

Once the dust has settled from the release and clean-up of Crucible. Can we have a true FIS and possibly WIS content oriented expansion, an expansion with nothing but NEW CONTENT?
4 new ships (that players helped design lol) and some mods, for me isn't content and hardly should be called an "expansion"

I'd call this a really big PATCH with cookies

so next patch can I haz milk wizdma cookiez?

Either way you want to spin it, I like a lot of things you have done with Crucible CCP so kudos, just nothing NEW to do.

I like it there is so many small moments of win in this patch/expansion that it taken as a whole is great........if you're a bitter vet no matter what you get it will never be enough but for the average joe that pays our sik by debit or credit card it looks and feels so much better

The pi nerf among other nerfs to small groups makes this an expansion. One that gameplay-wise sucks for anyone not in a rmt alliance but still an expansion. The message? If you want your gameplay to be buffed, then rmt.

Tell them to add all my suggestions and it will be more of an expansion other than a patch maybe!

Just a large patch. Added fluff and 4 new ships, changed a few pre-existing things. Hope to see a higher quality release next go around. Maybe they will get Assault Ships and Faction Warfare a go shortly. Over all this "expansion" didn't effect me much. But I enjoy the changes to destroyers. All in all CCP delivers, just everyone sees it differently to some degree.

Four new ships, new mods, how is that not content? Seriusly, do you want a dragon boss that you have to fight at the Eve Gate or something?

The fact that hybrids and destroyers got reworked alone is worth the price of admission. Short of galaxy wide war, what would you call content?

make no mistake, i don't dislike anything in particular at all in this expansion. there was a lot of things done that make me happy because they needed to be done. i guess to some new ships and mods is content. for me the last thing i got excited about doing was exploring wormholes. I remember when that expansion came out, I immediately went exploring for wormholes and i played that part of the game for months. it was great content.....so, to me, that's what i consider real content.
long needed fixes, balancing and polishing could be rolled out in small patches over time as they become ready. waiting to roll them up all in one big patchxpansion lol (thank you conan) then throwing some cookies at me doesn't really, to me, suit the games long term growth needs. cookies, remember, that someone else baked and CCP just pulled them out of the oven lol

so i'd really like to see CCP do something along those lines again that gets me excited to go do something new

There isn't much content to be thrown into a PLAYER DRIVEN SANDBOX.

They have given us new tools in the way of 4 new ships, which will introduce a very different playstyle. Ontop of that the reworked hybrids and destroyers pretty much make all destroyers and gallente ships new ships.

Throw in some shiny artwork to satisfy the shallow ones and you have a fairly rounded expansion, especially considering how long it took. If you can't expand with the tools provided to you, then you're doing it wrong.

I site this thread as irrevocable evidence that NOTHING will make the community happy. Good lord people, what you are suggesting of just adding in new things without thinking of WHY your doing it is exactly the mindset that led to things like last summer.

you can "cite" it all you want that's fine. and yes NOTHING will make the community happy and fact it is this reason why the game will continue to be better. because dissatisfaction pushes CCP to continue to focus on refining and adding to the game. pressure = progress and challenges = goals to achieve. if everyone was happy, then there would be nothing to strive for now would there?

If you read my posts, I am happy with what they have done. what i am asking for, is for the NEXT expansion to actually REALLY EXPAND on the game, dynamic gameplay and more content. I still can't get my friends to play this game, even if i let them play on one of my accounts for FREE!
