Hi all

I am trying for the first time to use the Datadump from CCP. (Rubicon 1.3)

I encountered the following problem:

When i load the .bak, there is no db available to select and so i can't do anything

Have a look on the screenshot:

Help?

Thanks all

There should be a DB called "ebs_DATADUMP". My best guess would be you might have an outdated version of MSSQL server. I think we had someone with a similar problem a while ago and updating MSSQL server fixed it. In the dialog where you add the .bak file you can select the added file and use the "Contents" button, I assume that already fails to show any contents for you?

What version of MSSQL Are you running this can be the problem but could also be a corrupted data dump too.

If you'd like to use something other than MSSQL https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/dump/ contains mysql, postgres and sqlite conversions.

If you're not using MSSQL server 2012 [Express], you won't be able to restore the backup.

Data dump is SQL 2012. If you're using an earlier version you might get this problem.

What I do:

1. Create a database (Call it eve or whatever)
2. Then do a restore on the database and select the BAK file from CCP. Ensure you select the overwrite option (can't recall which tab but you'll see it.)

Thats it. The db gets restored over the one I made and I can easily control where the filegroups are located.
