Please don't use Windows XP after April 8th on a computer that is any way connected to an insecure network (i.e. the internet).

i see the label bug is still at large.... contacts still get removed from labels when you log off
the drag and drop into the labels still doesn't work.. great changes.. i hope the next patch is more successful and has some actual ship rebalancing involved rather than very minor tweaks..

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

Anyone else notice that the ships and stations are missing some of their blinking little lights?

To the players with the slow download speed with the launcher, you can download the patch payload without the launcher direct from CCP CDN, and then you import it to launcher. It was much quicker for me, since my launcher was crawling to do it.

You will need the client version:
- until 12 march: 734685
- 1.3 patch: 739267
- 1.31 patch: 740727

Go to your download manager program and search for the right one for you:
- http://cdn1.eveonline.com/739267/EVE_Online_734685-739267_win.zip (pre 1.3 >> 1.3)
- http://cdn1.eveonline.com/740727/EVE_Online_739267-740727_win.zip (to 1.3 >> 1.31)
- http://cdn1.eveonline.com/740727/EVE_Online_734685-740727_win.zip (pre 1.3 >> to 1.31)

Save it at desktop (or some easy access folder), unzip it, start the launch, go setting, import it. Profit!

The update over the Launcher has stopped 3/4 100%. Repair Tool does not run through to the end.

The third patch from the list I downloaded. Thats ok.
the extract was only error message. No valid archive.
I have than copy the file in the Eve root directory.
The file have i renamed in xxxx_win.zip.download
I have start the Launcher and the launcher then built the patch file.
After that everything was fine and I could play again.

It seems that the fitting window is having issues calculating CPU usage intermittently. I have had several instances now where fits that are known to work were seemingly over on CPU usage. The issue seems to go away after a time however, and fits that previously were over on CPU will randomly start working shortly thereafter. Several corpmates have had similar issues, so I don't think it's just something with my client.

Haven't seen anyone post about this, so I'm not sure how widespread it may be, but figured I'd mention it.

I am now flying New Eden's first Smurf Skin class of veseels. The linked screen shot shows how all the graphics improvements are wreaking havoc with my client.

http://imageshack.com/a/img594/3443/59rt.png

All the white (flashing) bars were pre-Rubicon and were not fixed by updating drivers, re-installing client, or dumbing down all the video setting to the basics. They only appear in-station. (Enter Rubcon 1.3) Now the new linear lighting makes all ships appear neon blue - even NPC ships.

I should get compensated for all the time spent trouble shooting this stuff with no resolution. How about some features to disable the graphics features with your next patch?

If you have a suggestion to fix I'm all ears but save the usual troubleshotting tips mentioned above. And yes this is the only game I have these problems with.

I opened a ticket about this a few days ago, but have not gotten a response. My algos, and all the ships with this graphic, no longer has the force-field graphic on the docking bays. That graphic was awesome, had NOTHING to do with game balance, and is a little thing that made me love this game. You have single handedly (I can only assume this is intentional since it's all ships) ruined my favorite ship for me.

You know, I came to this game to escape the arrogance of Blizzard, they too made cosmetic changes to things I loved in that game without ever asking the player base if they WANTED those cosmetic changes. The DK mount used to look like unstoppable death with its run animation, until patch 4.1, since then it has looked like a lame horse that contracted polio. The forums were in outrage and Blizzard basically said FU.

I have been playing this game for about 3 weeks. I am glad I have not spent too much money on this game or invested too much of my time if this is what the devs of this game are going to do. I hope someone can get back to me on this, because I pray this is glitch. If not, then i thank this company for showing its true colors before I am too invested.

I think if you are going to change a cosmetic of a ship in this game, THAT NO ONE IS ASKING YOU TO CHANGE, you should let the players at least vote on it before you implement it, because at the end of the day we are the ones who have to sit and stare at this ship for hours of warping. I would appreciate ENJOYING what I am staring at during those hours.

Problems:

  • In station (station environment loaded) FPS is about 10-15, changing all settings to their lowest possible positions doesn't change a thing. Turning the environment off (static picture of hangar) gives me the normal 50-60 FPS, CQ gives me 5 FPS....Sad
  • Undocking, warping and jumping al cause the client to freeze for up to 3 seconds. After that it takes up to 10 seconds for even the HUD to load. This is dangerous, as it can take a while for the client to respond to commands. Again, changing all settings to their lowest possible positions doesn't change a thing. When its busy or there are many clouds/fog in the scene, it's worse.
  • Arriving a station, gate, POS, etcetera (even a safe with noting around!) causes the FPS to drop significantly and the client to stutter. It might be connected with the warp tunnel effect, but the busier the environment were I arrive, the worse the effect is.

Changing the different settings and/or turning off various effects doesn't seem to help.
Now I have to admit my graphics card is not top (NVIDIA GF GT430 1Gb ram) but before the latest patch I could easily run two clients with all settings high and all effects enabled, both running at 40-60 FPS nearly all the time (depending on the environment, never below 40).

100% As guy above posted...heavy performance issues when docking/entering warp gate that makes u freeze for around 3 sec...no matter graph settings /resolution graph card drivers etc...U added some useless fluff and made traveling even more annoying..especially in low/null where few seconds means u get poped or not...Fix it.

Thankfully, yes, but no one at CCP has acknowledged. It'd be really nice to get a "known issues" thread that covers the many graphical issues, low texture resolutions, turret coloring, etc.

Hey Supportteam!

I really like the new options you introduced for the standing mechanism (for example assigning a label when adding contacts) but I have a hard time setting appropriate alliance standings because the slider is too imprecise. For example I can only set -0.9 or -1.1 instead of -1.0 standings due to messed up rounding.

Would it be possible to make the slider somehow 'lock' at increments of .1?

Thanks in advance!

XP, like any Windows operating system, is perfectly safe as long as you aren't running as an Admin account and keep your A/V & Malware software up to date.

1. While having e.g. four targets locked, I move the locked targets icons to the middle of the screen.
After unlocking one target, the rest locked targets "jumps" back to the upper side (or back to middle, if were upper)...

2. It happened several times after logging in, the hangars were empty and no filters could be applied (suddenly all disappeared).
Restarting the game was the only way for getting the items back.

As a relatively new player who experienced no issues with the game pre patch it is frustrating that I find myself having so many of the problems that are repeated over and over again in this thread. I have had no problems whatsoever with any other game I play, which for a logical person would lead them to the conclusion that these are not system or driver related issues.

There are far too many reports of the same problems to call it coincidence. How many more people will it take to justify a response or acknowledgement that it is being investigated?

I have really enjoyed my time in the game so far, it would be a shame to lose a new player and paying customer through the company's inaction.
