Can I use smartbombs in highsec without getting concorded?

I am aware of the safety options and to even activate it I have to go safety red, so I assumed this ment instant concordokken upon activation,

Or may I use smartbombs, just have to go safety red, but as long as I hit no other capsuleer/structure concord wont show up?

The latter. However, there is really no reason to ever use them in highsec that doesn't involve CONCORD coming to get you anyway so you'd want to turn the safeties off regardless…

Yes you can use them in highsec. That said, expect people to try to get close to you for a good laugh.

Just remember that warping in one neutral alt whilst these are running will get you concorded and that i why safety red is needed to activate. also fraps the kills and if you have a spy inside the war targets corp get them to record comms so you can splice their comms to your video.

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

In general, it's a good idea to not use smartbombs in highsec. You can accidentally lose lots of sec status if people decide to warp pods in on you, in addition to losing your ship to CONCORD.

This one is quite amusing too You can find the person behind Socratic bleating in various comment threads on CCPs facebook page about how CCP have victimised him for picking on newbies in Arnon.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Amusing for sure, but that involved CONCORD.

Hahaha, is this the one?

Has this thread found the golden ticket?

Your choice. You make the call.

You don't even want to get me started on smart bombs.

Thats a fantastic background your character has. You're probably a really awesome person since you show some similarities with me, me being someone who is more superior than just about everyone else because of my out look on life and through my interaction with individuals, caring for them and their needs hoping to bring our society another step up on the ladder of societal progress..

Hop onto my magic carpet and I'll show you the world.

Ya know, it kind of sucks that concord has to exist. They're essentially like, NPC guards who show up to protect people who don't feel like employing the methods necessary to ensure their own survivability. Why should an entire safe guard exist designed towards showing up to "save" people be in place when all it does is limit the potential of others wanting to have fun?

This is a game where, granted, you get to choose what it is you wish to do, but that doesn't mean you should be able to do it without feeling that at any point in time someone can show up and take advantage of whatever situation you've put yourself in.

But then, to focus on the fact that we all get to choose just how we wish to play this "define your own goals" game of EvE we all play, sadly there exists a type of people who put their own desire to have fun above others and care so little about those they abuse that they don't even care about their personal feelings.

So Concord has to exist not to punish you for accidentally setting off your smart bomb you meant to kill NPCs in high sec with, but to protect you from the people who would abuse using smart bombs to prove that through their actions they are bad people.

Because bad people exist, Concord has to as well, and show up when you make a simple mistake such as blowing up an innocent guy with your accidentally misplaced smart bomb.

Blame the bad people, they ruin everything.

Won't you get concorded if you hit a nearby asteroid though?
