Jovian ships removed from the in-game database.

Prior to this patch it was still possible to link Jovian hulls.

The hulls no longer link.

They did cut out model files too, not only DB entries.

Former links to Jove ships info are no linger links, but not plain text either. Had them in Brunhilde Tahl's bio, now its broken. It doesnt show right, changes done dont save, cant replace or delete those entries.

Saved fittings window is broken too. Cause I had several fittings of Jove ships imported.

Improved Preview Tool for Ships, Stations, Gates etc.

As for the subject at hand...

A lot of us were holding out hope that someday we'd be able to fly nerfed versions of those lovely green hulls.
Sadly, it looks like the only Jovian ships we're likely to own are the Apotheosis and the Gnosis.

And I really wanted an Eidolon :(

Everyone is always annoyed with removed content. Same thing with Jukebox... Not good anymore = delete.

I really appreciate Jove being a mystery, rather keep it that way if EVE has to live 30+ years.

I don't think this was intentional. This was tweeted to Erlendur, and he seemed suprised and fwded it to the Art department to have them look into it.
Take that with a grain of salt, btw - I didn't look into it past that.

not all of the Jove ships are gone.

Theres still 1 that I could get to link it's pretty obscure though. ( SOCT 2 ) it's a jove frigate that reqs jove frigate lvl 1

And unlike the NEO commentators ( fozzie and rise shame on you ) I know the Erinye and Blade aren't Jove ships but prototype t2 ships that never got implemented :P

They'll introduce it as a "feature" this summer's expansion

Unless it was some other lesser known Dev who did it...

I can confirm, the last known sighting of a Jovian ship was in 2007, and that didn't got much attention (an Eidelon Battleship flying through a nullsec gatecamp, it survived it's ordeal)
I did alot of research for my article 'Shrouded in mystery, the Jovian race' and tbh, what I found is that (outside the 2007 sighting) they've been silent & unspotted for almost a decade. the most relevant recent sighting was a Sansha capital fleet in a Jove system (confirmed by Concord/CCP) which doesn't bode well for the Jovians tbh.

So I can see why they archived it, it's been unused for a long time. I just hope we'll learn more of the Jovians in the future, without them loosing the mystery enshrouding them.

I hope they'll bring them back.

Rare sight just makes them more coveted.

EvE has many unique things like these, it's sad these unique factors are being systematically removed one by one since the new "we code for dumbs and ex WoW players" era.
