Rule 3 of the Forum Code of Conduct (More like forum guidelines that we should think about and apply to our daily lives amirite?!) states taht Ranting is prohibited. I feel that this is essential to our community as without the rule, as I have just witnessed on reddit what started out as a totally levelheaded discussion ended up in both IRL threats as well as what appears to be a suicide notification? I'm not too sure what happened there but suffice it to say the absolute farce that is reddit appears to be the internet equivalent of Somalia with e-pirates running amok, unchecked and being allowed to swear unchecked. I found myself drawn into the argument and as user easternone couldn't resist but typing in full capslock and using words so vulgar that I was unable to kiss my other goodnight when she came down to the basement to check on me before bedtime!

Without a strict set of posting guidelines that I feel should be adpoted into everyone's daily lives, I highly believe that the forums would descend into absolute chaos with entitled morons offering to post ranting for paltry isk sums, racial slurs and such.
How would CCP ever provide a full sandbox game where anytihng goes without a strict set of guidelines and situations of what not to do? What next, will we see affluent Lawyers and High Level Businessmen who haven't the time to grind out isk but want to enjoy the finer things being baited out, scammed and ganked in highsec? (this reminds me, I cannot for the life of me find my disable pvp flag, I found my safety switch which will save lives in the event of me forgetting to adhere to rule 2 and 4 but I can't find anything that indicates that I am infact protected? I assume it is enabled by default so I haven't thought much on it since I started trying to find out the best ship to move my stack of plex to Jita with - suggestions are welcome)

This is what appears to be a playground for the intelligent, educated members of the gaming society and as such I think allowing anything but the absolute metaphorical sludge that sits atop the vat of the gaming community to post unchecked without strict moderation and GM intervention will result this game becoming nothing but a farce! I don't want to play Call of Duty Ghosts online and have people claim traversties about my mother and her choice of income stream, I wish to discuss game mechanics and fully understand why when I sold 3 Draclira's Armor Kinetic Hardeners that I paid 1billion isk each for to a buy order at 3 billion isk a piece I am now out of isk with items that I cannot for the life of me sell. It's a pity because my raven has a full rack of I-stabs so I can't even fit them on that.

If anything, I think the forum needs more options when it comes to profanity as well as all-capslock related filtering, a Troll Meter to disregard troll posts as well as making the 'suspension of all logic' button that Malcanis' so freely makes use of, an option for non-CSM members!
