The current ingame browser is at V 3.0

The current Chrome version is at V 33.0

aka we're 30 major versions behind. Would you pretty please make it up to date?

The version of Chrome they used is no longer open-source and a few components now require licensing, which means fees.

You can see how CCP might be ... hesitant to license browser parts when IGB-enabled pages work just fine and you can just use your own browser for everything else.

That being said, I agree that the IGB needs an update. IGB pages could do much more if we had something as simple as up-to-date HTML5 support, and not having to tab out of EVE to use the full-power version of the EVE apps I do use would be amazing and very handy.

Additionally, EVE-Radio would be really easy to use if you could just click a link in their chat channel and have a browser window open with an HTML5 player streaming music for you.

As long as IGB gets a decent shot of morphine to kick back into high gear I'm happy
