Is it ok to run repair.exe regularly?

To Eve Game Dev:

I discovered via repair.exe in recent days that a lot of my eve files are 'corrupted' and missing blocks which prevent the latest patch from applying successfully.

My question: is it ok for us to regularly run repair.exe perhaps once a week to ensure that the health of our eve file is consistently checked. What are the negative consequences, if any, if we regularly run repair.exe on our PC?
