Tried to reactivate my original account. They've lost all of my characters, and added two I have never heard of. One character I had three years invested in. I'm not willing to start over, and may just have to move on. It ain't fun any more.

CCP never removes characters except when you biomass.

So chances are this is what happened to you.

Either you got hacked or bought ISK in a way that wasnt a plex. Petition it and you will prob get it back...

And from now on use a password that is unique to that Eve account, and stop letting other people share your account :P

Sounds like you got hacked.
I had a similar thing happen many years back, they ended up trying to sell me while i was on a break. Luckily an Eve buddy spotted it and warned me.

CCP is not very tolerant of character bazaar scams so a petition with evidence you did not sell the characters yourself but were hacked should hopefully be looked on favorably.

What do you mean? The SP system and Mastery tracking in proper use can have you PVe or PVP effective in a couple of months. I started a new char knowing now what I should have known when I started and it's so heinously easy to skill up with the proper knowledge I can't resist slapping myself now over my 82M "scattered and directionless" SP.

Try out the new ISIS and certificate systems and you won't be disappointed. You have a preference for the ship you like? Go look at the info tab on it and check "mastery" and the skills you need are laid out. You do best with a certain fitting? That too is direction. You can be back to ganking and spanking in only a couple of months at most.

Bring back DEEEEP Space!

Uhhh, if I came back to the game and found James Amril-Kesh and Primary This Rifter gone on my accounts, I'm fairly sure I'd just give up there. Being PVP or PVP effective is nothing compared to how much I've built up these two characters over the years, in terms of SP, time, and ISK invested. And I've only been playing for just over 2.5 years.

I have so many alts, restarts, dormant chars and whatnot it's the other way round for me :P

And if you note, it is usually the same small group of people every time.
It would not take much for CCP to clean up the forums if they perma-banned this set of bad bad people.

They can recover biomassed characters as well.

EDIT: and CCP is p good about recovering accounts and characters, just keep the petition going.
