We don't need to be reminded on every page that 'today' the old forums closed, that just looks silly.

They were supposed to close yesterday, but apparently CCP failed and are going to close them today according to that announcement on EVERY PAGE RESULT. So I would assume they will close today, but I'm willing to bet CCP fail again and tomorrow it will announce they close 'today' and so on and so forth until someone there gets it together.

They key to communication is sending a clear message; we do not have a clear message on when the old forums are closing.

too much use of "soon" leads to issues like these, not remembering what "today'" means ^^

It's now Sept 11 and apparently they haven't closed the old forums. Fallout when will you update us on CCP Fail to close those forums, I don't like looking at both to see what's going on. How about getting it done 'today' perhaps?

We know they are closed. However the point of this thread, which you missed by a mile Blink , is that someone decided it would be a wise and entirely non-confusing to make a stickied-on-every-page thread titled "Old forums are closing today". Today is present tense and therefore means CCP failed to close the forums yesterday as titled in the thread and are going to do it today. Since they thought it so important to list on EVERY thread result page we believe it is proper to call them out for their continued less-than-clear (again) communication style.

Why do we need to be told on every page that the old thread is closed, how is that so important that it needs to be shown on every result page? Why can't CCP get the most basic message across using clear language that isn't present tense; they created a logic loop BearP
