^^ There's plenty of public channels hosted by vets especially for newbies, you can just lurk in them and make the occasional contribution if you want to, J'Poll has one in his sig, and I'm fairly sure a few of the other regulars in here do too. Worse case scenario, you get to see that you're not alone in finding Eve difficult and meet other newbies.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

If you're NPC Corp isn't doing anything as a group, start it yourself. Center for Advance Studies, The Scope, State War Academy, Caldari Provisions, and other NPC Corps organize ops. If you wanna do something specific, start a group in your NPC Corp and just do it.

NPC Corp's have been notoriously inactive and anti-social. Luckily, many are changing that. If you want help, let me know.

Neccessary? No.
A good idea? Hell, yes. Attention

Checkout Brave Newbies. You'll lose a few ships but you'll learn a lot and most important of all you will have a lot of fun.

Brave Newbies ain't so new anymore, they just put up a station down south.
