Did I Miss The Part Where It Said I Can't Do This?

Two characters, C1 and C2. The plan was to have C1 do all the cool stuff while C2 got to stay in the home 1.0 system and mine, or whatever other drudge work came up. Didn't work that way, I left C2 mining it's little heart out, exited the game with faith that C2 would continue mining whilst I re-entered the game, connected with C1 and blasted off seeking glory. C2 apparently balked at being left alone and did not mine a single rock in my absence. So, should I execute C2, or was I thinking outside the box of reality?

Maybe another thread for this thought; but I discovered that no, no images allowed in this forum. Bummer.

No and yes. If you log in a second character of the same account, the first character will be logged off automatically immediately.

Note that if you log a character off, it'll warp away to a (relatively) safe spot and disappear, so long as you don't have an engagement timer active. If you log out with an engagement timer running, the character will sit still and twiddle its thumbs until the engagement timer runs out, then warp away (if it hasn't been blown to smithereens in the meanwhile).

If you log in a second character of the same account, the first character will be logged off, either 60 seconds, 5 minutes, or 15 minutes, depending upon if the first character: had no crimewatch flags, have a "PVE" crimewatch flag, have a PVP crimewatch flag, respectively.

Technically ISD Ezwal is correct.

The character is indeed logged out as no-one is controlling it however it simply remains an active part of the game until the time expires and is removed.

Why...just why would you think that having a character logged off would still work for you.

Sorry, but if you thought that would work....Well I will not even list my thoughts about you, as ISD will remove it anyway.

Name me ANY other game, just one, where you can log into and farm with 2 characters on the same account at the same time.

ISD is right.

The second you log on the other character the first logs off.

You are talking about your ship disappearing which is something TOTALLY different.
If you want to post a out game mechanics, fidst learn the difference youdself before spreading wrong info.

There are some "activities" you can start while logged in, and have continue even if logged out:

PI
Moon Mining
Manufacturing and Research.
RP production for datacores.

In general though, most activities require you to be actively logged in.
