I can't seem to find this information anywhere, but I'm still curious as to the relationship between Incarna and the NeX. This curiosity stems from a general interest in WiS since it's discussion at fanfests long past, I've always followed closely on the development process as I find it incredibly interesting.

However, I have had concerns since the announcement of NeX about the nature of the new station environment, namely how the NeX will govern players ability to participate. The following questions are those I hope you can answer:

  • Will the purchase of player owned station environments use solely Aurum as currency?
  • Will all clothing in the station environment be purchased from the NeX, with no player created items?
  • Will all items in station (Business or Personal) require the use of the NeX market?

My biggest concern is that Incarna is nothing more than a Item Mall theme park, please dispel these claims so that I can continue subscribing to EvE.

The fact is that Incarna wasn't an expansion it was an alpha-test for Twilight Online and a cash grab (the NEX) to be used to pour money into a dead-on-arrival console shooter and the aforementioned mmo.

Buee I fear you may have hit the nail on the head with this one. It would seem not to be pay 2 win because it would only be used with the new content and there by what they have been saying wouldn't be lies.

I think their new environments for wis will be AUR only due to the fact that our wallet now has a way to separate AUR From isk transactions.

If they do roll out such an expansion EVE will die a slow painful death.

They really should look to Starwars Galaxies as for what not to do no the new game enhancements didn't kill it right away but none the less it's dead.

But mabe they will surprise us and have isk change to AUR at a ratio of say 1000 to 1

I forever hated SOE after what they did in the nge and cu. Curse you SOE, I curse you to my grave.

All of this is great discussion, but why haven't our supposed representatives (The CSM) brought this question to light, or even made any mention of it at all? It seems like such an obvious question, why hasn't it been asked?

CSM? Well? If you haven't checked this post already, I can't see how you can be doing your job.

You might want to post your topic in the Assembly Hall section if you want a CSM response. Not that you will get the truth anyway or it will be an NDA'd answer Twisted
