no, I'm not trolling :P I'm just curious as to why carriers aren't allowed into high sec for PVE. I can see having them do PVP in high sec getting out of hand but why not just limit them to only PVE in high sec unless attacked? I know literally nothing when it comes to the capital class ships but it just seems a bit odd to me, can any1 help explain this to me?

Philosophical stuff aside: carriers can't jump normal gates and you can't light a cyno in hisec.

Maybe because they would be out of hand for PVE too?

Plus how exactly would you propose limiting them to PVE-only "unless attacked?"

No POS would ever die except if the corp was dead.

Also station games would be a lot worse.

Incentive to leave highsec. I'm inclined to believe that
1. capitals unbalance highsec game play.
2. for some high end content you should have to leave highsec.

The carriers and dreads remaindered in highsec are purely for showing off though you can of course mine with them.

I suppose if you got a hold of one of the few left (is their still a Revenant trapped in Perimeter ?) you could park in it an incursion to draw fire away from the rest of your ships. However in reality why would you want to use one for missioning as marauders are far easy to train for and can do the job fine and are far less of a gank magnet :D

Capitals (other than freighters/orca) also can't take acceleration gates

Only way to get them into a incursion (assuming they are already inside the system) would be to bump them 10 000 k from the accel gate into the incursion pocket direction, over the course of 10-15 hours or so ...

A carrier in high sec doing lv4's Shocked. That should explain it.

Don't forget carriers in high sec PVP, overpowered again.

Carriers being practically ungankable for hauling goods, overpowered.

Carriers mining in high sec, now that's just funny.

Assign drones/fighters to your missioning ship and finish a L4 in ten minutes. Seems balanced.

Let's not overlook the fact that capitals cannot use acceleration gates. And assigned fighters can't go through them as well.

I'd be okay with Concord having carriers if Concord went back to being killable.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

I would be for a mission that had a carrier in it like a multi player mission.
