I have a couple of characters (not this one) that have this time affixed to their show info.

Okay so maybe I'm being a little OCD but it really bugs me. What's the deal?

not all planets have a 365 day year
This is my signature. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.  Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless

True Ms. Snarkypost Alba, some planets have an orbit around their parent star that is only a matter of days.

But in the purposes of showing info about a character, the default time frame is the Earth one.

Please troll someone else. Thank you.

For convenience, months are simply counted as 30 days rather than following calendar months. It can go up to 4 or 5 days, then it resets over to a year.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Oh damn, why did you tell us?... Now I'll be bugged over it every time I see the timer.

I see you lack a sense of humour.
For the small fee of 500m isk, I can provide you with one.

EVE uses metric time, which is why you get those "weird" times.

*sigh* Why do people insist on propagating this myth? 52 weeks in a year. 52 weeks-per-year / 4 weeks-per-month = 13 months per year, ergo 28 days a month, which is always 20 week-days and 8 weekend days. (Plus a leap day every 4 years since a solar year is ~365.25 days. Leap day is a "unique" day that's "external" to the 7 day week.)

The advantages are:
* simpler calendar math
* holidays are always on the same day of the week
* paydays are consistent
* landowners can now charge for rent thirteen times a year
* triskaidekaphobia is even more fun
* it increases fertility by making it easier to know when conception is more likely (in the average case)
* it decreases martial stress by making it easier to know when to work late and/or buy chocolate on the way home (in the average case)

Don't blame me for simply stating how EVE counts months and years and answering the OP's question :)

Since when is 13*28=365? Shouldn't skip math after first grade Roll
This would mean one day every year as undefined plus one leap day every 4 years
