Make a dynamic icon that depicts how d-scan angle works (how it relates to camera position). See the quick paint-job I made below.

Where one image is for 360 degrees, the other for 90 degrees. As you adjust the angle slider (non-intuitive), the shaded area around the camera changes size to reflect it (intuitive).

It's simple and effective.

The idea seems good but I actually don't see what purpose it would serve. It's fairly easy to figure out how the angle is related to the camera position when you're using the d-scan for the first time, and past that point you don't really need an icon to tell you that. Visual icons are useful for differenciating different modes at a quick glance, but here, all the icons will look the same, especially the small angles one (the diff. between the 15 and the 5 degrees ones is going to be ridiculous), so it'll just be easier to read the numeric value if you want to know what angle you're at.

Edit : If the slider was reshaped into a 2 dimensional icon representing the 360° circle, then it'd make more sense, but slider + icon = useless in my opinion.

You mean... like the one we already have when you show the navigation panel (F11)? Or do you mean like the new one that's on Sisi already as we speak? Smile

Stealth deletes are bad.
