I've just harvested some gas and...

I'm in Dodixie and I can't sell gas. I'm undercutting all the time, but still nothing. Is there any place near Dodi where can I sell it? Or should I be just more patient? I got C-540/28/32

Jita is the largest hub.

Your gas is probably placed at an unprofitable price, though. Not like its an end product.

It's cheaper than the lowest price in Jita, so...

That doesn't mean it's profitable, nor that anyone wants to buy it in dodixie.

I used to occasionally mine Lime Myko in Derelik and haul it to Rens.

It usually sat there for about 3 months before selling....but it would finally sell at least.

'Twas a waste of time mining it what for the unprofitability, really.

If anyone's gonna buy your gas, they'll be in Jita.

Gas always sells slow anyway. It usually takes me a few months to sell a day's worth of gas mining so I don't do it anymore.

is there any good gas you can mine?...getting ready to jump into a friend wh and was going to take a cane setup for gas (one of many setups)
but if none of its sells I won't bother

The major problem with gas selling is that yes all the wh gas is used for making t3, but most people will refine in the wh to the smaller polymers and thus dont really go looking to buy gas on the market,
when i was doing wh things, i only bought gas when i had fond someone selling gas for extremely cheap , or needed to make one more batch of something for building.
I dont generally want to be moving bulky gas into my wh to react (when i could be transporting fuel instead) c540 is one of the higher end ones, and should sell eventually, but id suggest doing the reaction yourself, the polymers should sell a lot better as you can use those in station to build t3.

First, main Fart hub is in Jita
second, those who want the gas are either already in a hole where a Polymer Reactor can be used. Thus they have near instant access to the gas itself
third, T3 production is limited thanks to Rubicon and the improoved cruisers

Thus, if the gas doesn't sell and isn't profitable, just leave it there. We know what to do with ;)

I ran a Hybrid Polymer / gas-mining POS in w-space and can confirm that gases do not sell well outside of Jita. Your gases are valuable. So move them to Jita and they will sell within a reasonable amount of time.

The gas market is small enough that Jita is the place to be.

Do you know of any guides on this refining process ?

Because my corp is setting up in W-space and anything to reduce the volume of the stuff we haul out would be useful.

Plain & simple,

1 pos, 1 hybrid polymer reactor, 2 Biochemical Silo, 1 Silo + most to all Blueprints to react the polymers
Followed with gas & minerals making 1 product
Then we drop our Siphon on your pos to grasp some of your product because we're lame to react our own :p

Nice explanation & decent guide to reacting: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Polymer_Reactor_Array

Thanks.

Though if you do stick a siphon on our POS, I'm not sure it would survive long enough for you to make back the cost of the siphon.

When i was doing wh gas, i had quite a few more silos which did nothing but sit there with things in them wheile i accumulated the gas to run them. It made it easier but was totally unnecessary.

I dont remember if they have changed it now, but when i was there (in wh) it was not possible to build t3 at pos, now ? possibly.
the manufactured hybrid components are even smaller then the gas and should sell just as well or better then the first stage reacted gas from there its pretty simple to use hisec stations to manufacture the full sub or hull.
Just remember that most people buy built t3, or make them themselves. the volume is low enough that most of the components don't get traded as often as most other items.

T3 hulls and subsystems are made in a subsystem array.
