Do corp standings update if all members have no standings?

As it sounds...

If I create several research alts that never talk to an agent, then buy them a corp with standings, will those standings be reset to zero after 7 days or will they ride permanently (or until a pilot with standings joins for 7 days)?

Everything I see online says that pilots without an entry for standings are not considered in the 'average' score. That doesn't clarify whether the previous standing remains unchanged or becomes zero since there are no standings at all...

If nobody knows I'll see about running a test and report results here.

If you mean NPC corp standings, they will drop once the pilots that gave the corp the good standing leave.

Player corp standings are another matter altogether.

The corp will keep the standings. This is the method used for getting standings and keeping them for playing with pos towers in highsec.

As far as I recall the standings do degrade now after 7 days. Anyone selling premade corps should be able to answer this properly, I remember one of them explaining it fairly well when I bought my last corp.

As long as your research alts are neutral (0 standing / never spoken to an agent) their standing will not affect corp standing.

Also i dont think corp standing takes 7 days to update anymore :)

Thanks all for the input. If I get time to run a definitive test I'll give it a shot and report back.

As long as no one with any standings towards the NPC corp in question joins the corporation the standings will stay.

So, as long as your very careful and make sure that no one talks to any agents from that corporation the standings will remain no matter how many people join your corporation and they can create jump clones and similar whenever they feel like it.

If you are creating a new corp and the standings dont update, try to run a mission (with the character with the standings), or wait until after DT.

Characters with no standings have no influence on the corp standings.

If you are concerned about npc corp standings, your characters shouldn't have any standings towards that npc corp.

If you are concerned about faction standings, then your characters are not allowed to have any faction standings.

You can talk to agents all right, unless the mission in question changes faction standings. To be safe, don't shoot anything. This basically restricts you to running distribution missions. Also be aware, that some level 1 distribution missions require you to shoot at stuff, including faction related targets. Always decline and always decline storyline missions and you are safe.

If you mess up, leave corp immediately with the respective character.

Edit: Grr forums...

Remove standings and insurance.
