Having technical issues

Hey, I can't seem to find a technical support or bug forum so I'll just ask here.

I've just started running lvl II security missions, which is cool, but my ship is acting weird.

If I lock onto a target and select it, all weapons I activate should attack that selected target right? That's what I thought anyway. But what's happening is, my missiles etc are just firing off in all directions at enemyies that I don't have locked.

Can someone help me with this plz? It's making it impossible to finish missions because I can't focus fire enemies.

Thanks

You are using auto-targeting missiles. Switch back to regular missiles.

FoF missiles (Auto-Targeting) will auto target the nearest enemy NPC without needing a target lock. As the enemy NPC's advance and retreat, the FoF missiles will react accordingly, thus making it seem like they are going all over the place and shooting at random targets.

The best way to work FoF missiles is to keep range to a specific NPC target, IE, maintain the distance to keep that specific NPC at shortest range compared to the other NPC's.

Another thing to remember is that the FoF missiles will also auto target structures if those happen to be closer than the NPC's.

They took that out. I used to do anomalies, show up, turn on fof, blow up all the rats and all the structures. Not anymore. I think they changed that in Odyssey expansion. Now fof just blow up rats, all the structures are untouched.

Really, I didn't know that. Guess I missed that little bit of info in the expansion patch notes.

Anyway that's kinda cool, not having to worry about FoF going after structures now.

They will continue to aggro structures, but will not do so unless the module is restarted once all rats and batteries are down.
