Confusion with Officer Spawns.

I've seen some contriditory data reguards officer spawns, as follows:

Officers only spawn in NPC Home Regions (Which never have security status lower than -0.3)

and

Officer only spawn in -0.7 or lower.

Can anyone clear this up, please; Also screenshots to reinforce oppinions would be nice, please.

It's true that in NPC home regions, Officers can spawn basically anywhere*. Otherwise, I've never heard of them spawning below -0.9 systems

anywhere = belts / gates

No, numbskull, I'm saying that if you're going to claim you've seen differing information in different places, you might actually consider linking them, so people can have a look at it.

I can confirm that I have seen an officer spawn in -0.30 space.

bleh, just give up on the whole officer thing, since the DT fix officers are really hard to find.


if you want to make ISK with officer stuff, just buy some crap module and scam some poor incursioneer by selling it with a 300% mark up... way better isk/h.

Hahaha... I'm not really interested in hunting officers,. I just want to know if I might run into them in my endeavors. I like this idea, though.

Officers spawn in systems below or equal to -0.8 sec status. You see -0.3 in NPC home regions but in reality all systems in pirate NPC regions have a true sec status of -1.0. Just fly thru any of them, you can see spawns normally not in non nps sec.

So there you go. They can spawn anywhere in 0.0 pirate NPC (curse, stain, fountain(!), venal) and only in -0.8 or lower in the rest of the regions.

This week I killed two(that's right two) officer spawns. Both were not in npc space and both were in a -0.5.
