Looking for a replacement short cycle timer for mining

As the title states, im looking for something that would replace http://eve-mining.com/myo.html (down for over a month now) that would take

  • how many lasers I have
  • my m3 per cycle per laser
  • what rock I am mining
  • preferably an audio/visual indicator or alarm
  • preferably an IGB page


mining without this really sucks

not really AFK mining, I multi-task a lot and would prefer something to help me mine, hell even without the multi-tasking, sitting there shooting at a damn rock for 3 minutes for 10m3 worth of ore sucks

Calculating that yourselves takes like 10 seconds.

I used my favorite search engine and looked for "EvE online mining calculator". This was very hard to do.

The broken link in question assists you while you are actively mining by calculating how much time it will be before you must disengage your lasers. Your link does not address that.

Thank you, someone who knows what I am asking for, I asked my entire alliance and they either had no idea what it was or handing me an ore income spreadsheet

Well you know how much you mine per cycle and the time on the cycle. Use a scanner and find out the size of the asteroid.

Use the in game calculator and you have your answer.

Serious question (not a minings bad mmkay thing), if it sucks why do it?

Why play an aspect of a game that you think sucks, instead of playing something else within the game that you enjoy?

If the answer is that you need minerals in order to be able to manufacture because you enjoy manufacturing, then why not just cut your profit margin a bit and buy the minerals off market. Quicker and you can eliminate the sucky part of the game.

If the answer is that you mine to generate ISK, then have you looked at other mini games to generate ISK instead?

You might find your time better spent doing something else instead of mining. Generate your isk killing npc in the null space you have access to and import anything you might need.

Reminds me of this small group in Angel space. They did PI, ratting, moons, mining and had a wh team for sleeper poop. They made their own t2/t3/ all hulls to BS everything and defended themselves too, their moons had backup from a larger group that appreciated their numbers in strat fleets.
They referred to some other groups as Jita cows, people who couldn't make anything but went to Jita to get milked.
So when i see hisec griefers hate on miners or industrialists smirk at mercs, i just shake my head, you limit yourselves.
TLDR for the livestock: the normal thing is to blap rats and go to hisec market.

So they wasted all of their isk wealth by horribly generalization, trying to do everything, pissing away thousands of manhours to time in the forsaken belief they can build it cheaper, and forever remained a small unknown group because of their own stupidity?


There is no wealth in making everything you own. Industrialists make isk by abusing economy of scale. I might earn 40,000 isk from every item I sell you, but I make tens of thousands of them. Making them for a ridiculously tiny, internal market is like pissing into the sea. Sure you saved 40,000 isk. Maybe you saved 40,000 isk * your 40 players. And you spent 100 hours to do that. It is always more profitable on the small scale to extract wealth than to tax it.
