Hisec gate camps and Target Spectrum Breaker

On a technical level:

If I was in hisec, flying randomly around the place in say, an overtanked Rattlesnake, landed on the other side of a gate, noticed a bunch of Tornados, went next to them to say "hello" and activated a Target Spectrum Breaker, would that effectively counter their ability to gank the next freighter coming through by mitigating their overall alpha?

On that level, you could land on grid with 2 battleships and stagger the TSB ... but you get the idea. I'm just curious if such a tactic would be more use then the "web the freighter" idea.

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.

If I'm not mistaken the TSB works only against ships that are locking your ship, so the Tornados ganking the freighter wouldn't have you locked and thus the TSB would be useless.

Does the TSB trigger a concord response ?

That's not how they work.

Would appear I read it wrong.

Note to self: Don't post straight after effects of post-op anesthetics. Roll
