I am pretty sure after this expansion there will be a lot of imbalances. So again what will come next is nerfing this and that. Mostly for PI and for the new ships which are overpowered imho and make other ships useless.

Balance is most important. And its not easy to do that. You can do it only with small steps.
And the next expansion will be a huge step which for sure will inbalance a lot.

And taking back chocolate from players always isnt fun. Not to mention the frustration of Mothership pilots. They will hate this expansion.

Good. They've been ruining eve for long enough.

So what's this PI nerf that ppl are talking about?

I just saw this and it made me happy : We have boosted the bandwidth of links to be 10 times bigger to deal with the hassle of constantly upgrading them.

This is my signature. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.  Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless

A lot of this thread continually confirms that the majority of Eve forum poasters are whiney spoiled brats or trolls or most likely both.

It's plainly obvious to those who aren't trolling or aren't so disconnected from reality, that CCP has done a 180 on Eve in the right direction. Iteration is a good thing, you guys should try playing every aspect of Eve before you cry about not enough new features. Run a corp or run multiple POS's, or do both, you'll go insane by the amount of tedium involved, but CCP is starting to make headway in that direction, as well as many others, that signals to me how srs they are about Eve. There's expansions worth of iteration left to do in Eve, and it's finally happening.

For less than two months of work, from what I've seen on SiSi, is nothing short of impressive, and this has been mentioned quietly before in the thread: think of all the awesomeness they can get into a proper cycle of development. Until then, keep Glenn Becking it up here on the forums with your crybaby, rabble rousing posts.

Yeah, me too. Assuming you don't delete too many important files on my computer, or make graphics cards rip themselves out of their sockets and run off in fear, this patch promises to be a greater improvement to EVE than any I have experienced, Apocrypha included.

It might not introduce that much new stuff to play with, but it makes A LOT! of the old stuff less annoying and more fun. \o/

And lets face it, EVE really needed getting its pipes flushed, oil changed and pixel rust scrubbed. Lots of new and not-so-new players were less than impressed by the bugs, inconsistencies, flaws and "Huh!-moments" they encountered, and then being met by "LOL! You must be new here!" by all the older players when wondering if CCP was going to fix, a non-trivial amount of them left. This expansion won't attract hordes of new shiny-eyed players, but it will make a difference in making more players stay. And less bitter older players will also make new players feel slightly more welcome. Possibly. Blink

Also, as a Gallente player, suddenly a whole new world of midslots opens up, that can be used for something else than cap recharge.. Big smile

Pocos are turning all lowsec pi unviable all wspace pi impractical and all nullsec pi alliance approved only. And all highsec pi more expensive.

I think this will be the most loved non-expansion ever.

I haven't seen so many little things bring so much joy to so many in so little time!

To be fair, just because we can't point to one major point of expansion, doesn't make all the small but significant expansionlets count up to nothing!

I would be very happy if CCP switches from two major expansions a year, to one major and one papercuts expansion every year.

Expand, enhance, Expand, enhance....

I see. Well I only do hi-sec PI so POCOs don't affect me. Then again if less people in lo-sec do PI, my hi-sec PI becomes more profitable because of higher demand :)

The new bling is cool, to be sure.

However, running my little highsec manufacturing gig just got more expensive (because of PI), and adding an extra step into feuling my POS is a bit annoying (although I can understand how this makes life easier for the bigtime operators). Lowsec PI seems like a waste of time now as well, and that used to be a fun minigame dodging pirates.

Maybe the new shiny stuff will offset these annoyances somewhat.

Or your planets get overcrowded by people stepping in to meet the supply shortages. And don't forget it will cost you twice as much to do as before. No one benefits from these changes except griefers and dusters (also griefers.)

Apocrypha, in my eyes, is EVE's greatest expansion. I shudder to think where the game would be today without it. But like being saved by Spider-Man, everybody gets one; CCP has already stated that they will never again do anything Apocryphaesque.

It's true, we said that. But a lot of things have happened since that was stated. Hilmar's acknowledgement that we were on the wrong path, the restructuring of the company and the new focus on EVE to name a few. Since then we scrambled and in slightly less than two months we made what's probably the second largest expansion for EVE ever, and it's all about spaceships.

I can't and won't promise anything about what we'll do next, but things have changed big time, we have massive momentum behind us, and I for one am genuinely excited about the future of EVE Smile

great to hear this. i hope you guys get around to putting an end to Winmatar and Drake online. im tired of seeing just Canes and Drakes on my overview/kb. a good step would be to slightly nerf those ships, and buff rails to something usable. right now, only laserboats are balanced in by opinion.

A lot of stuff remains to be done, some that was intended to be on crucible (hybrids rebalance) couldn't be done properly in the time frame but will be looked at continuously until is satisfying: said Mr CCP Tallest.

There's so much work done, almost everything players ask for months or years, new stuff, improvements of all kinds, needed downgrading Super pownmobiles to Super ships to train for, awesome nebulas, engine trails, cyno effects, warp tunnel, stars and I could continue for a long while.

Yes I do think it's an awesome expansion overall.

Best of all, better than all the stuff we had improved, changed, added whatsoever, Dev's are now more present with us than I've ever seen them and this thing here in my eyes is extremely important for everyone from players to dev's and by extent the company.

I'm still hungry about my hybrids stuff (rabble) but I'm very happy about all the stuff I've tested on SISI (except hybrids: rabble again) I just can't wait to see all those that couldn't be there have such fun on TQ has I did on SISI.

Lol.. yea if captains closet is your only referce point, then crusibla is def the most awsome expansion EVER in the history of all MMO's.

Crucible has already failed those of us waiting for the lag fix, if a date had been specified in a with a reasonable time period then I would not have an issue with this delay.

It's going to be like a week or so. It's a rather fundamental shift to how the game runs, so turning it on at the same time we release a bunch of other things makes diagnosing any problems extremely difficult because you don't know what to blame.

As soon as the release is in a reasonably stable state, I will be deploying Time Dilation. No one in this world wants it on more than I do, guarantee you that.

I think many players agree. Maybe delay the patch for a week and rather give us that tomorrow? /ducks Big smile
